Having troubles with my iPod Touch...

Hey guys, this is probably a really stupid question, but here it goes.

Recently, I got a couple of promo codes, and downloaded some apps on my computer. Is there a way I can just put these 2 apps on my iPod without syncing the entire thing? I tried drag/drop the app onto my iPod, but it doesn't work.

Also, when I click sync, it tells me that I have to transfer all of my songs from my iPod to my computer, or they'll be deleted from my iPod (I delete songs from my computer after putting them on my pod) -_- Can't I just sync without copying stuff from my iPod to my computer?

Nope, if I do that, I get a window saying something like "if you don't sync your music, It'll get deleted from your iPod".

yes you can.
in iTunes choose manually manage music and your songs will stay in both iTunes library and your iPod touch. then you just decide which app/game you want to sync, hit that button and voila!

move all the songs you want to ipod with manually manage music option turned on. then you can delete them.
