How long will the Appstore last (being updated at a steady pace)?

i have to agree with arn, developers wont stop making apps until people no longer buy them... and i have a feeling that probably wont ever happen, even if apple does retire the iPhone one day im sure their next device will be capable of using the app store

the iPad's only just been introduced and runs apps from the app store. I think it'll go on for a long while

even with the faults of the appstore. for me its the best way to get applications. i buy way more software cause of the appstore.

it aint going anywhere anytime soon.. will just evolve.. but has proven to be a valid way to distribute software to the masses who may not buy much.
