Hey guys. Just thought I'd let you know that there's a new book coming out that features a ton of info about some of the best iOS games. It's got backstories on a lot of the games (including my game 100 Rogues, which, thanks to the magic of the alphabetical ordering system, comes first) too.

Right now it's just in pre-order mode, but anyway thought I should pass it along to y'all. Check it out:

I second this! I've seen a preview of one of the chapters and it's very interesting - really looking forward to getting a copy as it has the back-story and info about the development of a lot of games I like.

Mos Speedrun is in it too, very excited to be amongst a list of other great games!

You'll also find the story of Space Miner within said pages as well. I'll definitely be picking up a copy just to read the other stories.

Cassie and i were thrilled to have the story of Sissy's Magical Ponycorn Adventure (http://www.ponycorns.com) covered in the book. It goes to show that there's a real difference between a critical success and a financial success when it comes to app development. And if you've never considered alternate rev streams like merchandising, i highly recommend it. Buy this book!

I did in fact land exclusive interviews with the CEO of Rovio and Angry Birds' lead designer (that's Mikael Hed and Jaakko Iisalo, respectively). That game has a pretty interesting/odd origin story :)

I asked a few weeks back and he said it wasn't currently planned, something to do with image formatting I think.
