Chuck’s Challenge v1.2.1 – iPhone, iPod Touch & iPad
From the creator of Chip’s Challenge comes a new take on an old classic.

Chuck’s Challenge (http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/chucks-challenge/id409315637?mt=8) is a puzzle game that walks through the evolution of gaming: move from A to B, collect items, the red key opens the red door, etc. But, like Lego, knowing what each piece does is only the beginning of the fun, as players can also create and share their own levels using a simple paint-style interface.

“We’ve been working hard this year to improve the app’s performance, and integrate all our players’ Facebook requests, particularly in the create and search modes,” creator of Chuck’s Challenge (http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/chucks-challenge/id409315637?mt=8), Chuck Sommerville said. “Also, we were surprised by the number of lefty players, so we’ve added controls for them too.”

Chuck’s Challenge (http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/chucks-challenge/id409315637?mt=8) includes four different game modes:

• Single Player: Play through the main story and your best times are uploaded online
• Race: A multi-player mode where you race through levels to see who can finish first
• Create: An editing tool to build your own levels and share them with the world
• Weekly Puzzle: each week a new single player puzzle can be downloaded.

For v1.2.1 the app went on a slight diet so it’s now under 20Mb, which means it can be downloaded over the air. It still includes all the improved performance and new features from v1.2 which are:

Create Mode Enhanced
• Refined edit controls
• New swipe gesture to put down multiple Game Elements
• Clear button to delete the Game Grid

• Ring Menu organized

• New delete Paint Pot option

Improved Search
• Latest & Top 5 searches scrollable

• Levels sortable by their creator

Other Fun Stuff
• Lefty controls options

• Creator's name added to on-line information page
• Medals in the scorecard

• Sound option persistent

• Improved Font

• New theme tune, Score Card SFXs & 3 in-game music tracks

iCade support would be great. I haven't played this yet, though I bought it on the strength of the original game that I used to play on the Atari handheld. iCade support would definitely prompt me to actually start playing. :)

Question: Can you still touch the screen when it's in the iCade?

That way we could just do the controls in-game, rather than all the different menus as well.

You can still use the touch screen. Please add iCade support.
