You can now view all screenshots from the appstore without using your computer. Thats what those arrows are at the bottom of the last pic. Also you can sort each category by top paid, top free, and release date.

I want much more new features in 2.2... not this small changes with Appstore.app  icons in categories, ability to view screenshots, u really need it? I want to see at least 2-3 new functions which will make my iphone real better, for example push notifications for IM, god damn copy/paste, attachments in Mail.app, MMS, etc, it can be a long post. These are the things that I think people really need. It needs to be more than just a fancy interface. Come on who cares about Google Street View or the Appstore rating upon deletion?

Im with Shkudt. I don't give a flying 💩💩💩💩 about Appstore rearranging and stupid google streetview. I don't care about any of that. I want useful features on my $200 phone. I want landscape texting and email, flash player, a web browser that doesn't crash every two minutes, copy and paste, customizability (winterboard), multimedia messaging, I want to be able to forward text messages, and much more. I want the basic functions of a real "smart phone". Once I have these "basic features" the you can add your "minor enhancements" and I'll be happy but until then, 💩💩💩💩 you Apple.

Finally, category sorting!
I think you misunderstood the photo. That photo shows category sorting, which there already is, on the appstore on the iPhone. I don't think there will be category sorting for your own apps in 2.2. Apple is slow to do things:(

Copy and paste would theoretically be nice, but I think it would hurt usability. Obviously some people here could use it, but the iPhone is designed for everyone. I really just want a faster interface and better hooks for the current apps to use (including push updates). Also, I wouldn't mind an iPhone with a faster processor and more working memory.

year real category sorting is a must in times of 70+ apps on your springboard. I don´t understand our dear Steve. He is a hard-liner for good usability, an easy UI etc.
Maybe because he thinks no one needs more than 10-20 apps?
I have to say I would love to have a kind of intelligent organizing of apps, at least as an option, because I have many web-apps, games, productive apps etc. Apple could just apply the categories in AppSTore and you´re done.
The only alternative is to jailbreak and then to use Categories...
Another thing i like very much is the update all button...!

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. 2.2 is doing exactly what I was expecting (and wanting) it to do, sorting categories by top paid, top free, and release date.

SO... I'm still restricted to 148 apps? 9 screens?
Where's the folder feature for apps?
Let's get going with that feature. And of course "cut and paste".
