What's new in our 1.6.6 release? Quite a lot!

- The turtle head substituted the rabbit head on the blue cube.
- The gameover page now offers hints about food combinations and the distribution of heads and bodies on the cubes.
- New dialogue lines were added to make the game richer and the tutorials clearer.
- Resolved two advanced gameplay bugs.
- Fixed one bug in the first tutorial of the game in case it is run more than once.
- The lower limit of the pages no longer cut food items and detached butts.
- Added and fixed the text that can be read when pausing the game.
- Added the possibility to access the game modes from the 'my notes' page.
- Complete localization of text and subtitles in Italian.
- Compatible with iOS 5.1
- Various Minor fixes.

And .. last but not the least .. a new game mode will be live in a month (we hope), and so will a new trailer! Tremble in fear ..

The new game mode, or book section if you will, will embrace POETRY both in its modern literary acception and in its original Greek meaning of 'creating', 'forming'.

In the new POETRY mode, groups of beasts will cross the book. Memorizing the passing beasts is central to being successful in the game, as the player will be – then – asked to recompose the entire series correctly. The game will not either feature food or any forms of time constraints, but will offer the players:

more beasts, teeth and legs
finally, human parts
the possibility to actively create and visualize new bizarre beasts composition
fourteen new and beautifully drawn backgrounds that will allow the player to explore a graphic novel based around Percy Bysshe Shelley's 1818 sonnet 'Ozymandias'

In few hours, the new update will be live on the Appstore.

A new game mode and a new cube; smoother gameplay; more Mozart, snouts and legs!

A new, original game mode (or book section, if you prefer) completes Gua-Le-Ni. Now featuring even human body parts, this new part is titled ‘Poetry’ and it offers a different use for the game’s original gameplay. Instead of challenging the players to optimize their performance and dexterity under the pressure of an ever accelerating parade of beasts, the ‘Poetry mode' focuses on memory, creativity and relaxation. Gameplay will be accompanied by classical music and the verses of an old sonnet. With more beastly parts, a narrative structure and a series of new, delightful pencil backgrounds, the ‘poetry’ mode makes playful taxonomy accessible to and engaging for anyone.

This new update of our iPad game (available from today on the Appstore) also features better tutorials, smoother and clearer gameplay, two new achievements, additional content in terms of graphics, animation and sound effects. In the past months, our game was already enthusiastically received by critics and reviewers (Gua-Le-Ni has a current Metacritic score of 83%). With the refinements, the improvements and the extensions we have enhanced the game with, it is our hope that our beasts will reach and entertain an even wider audience with an original and rewarding experience.
