Well despite the naysayers and closed beta team saying that it was nowhere near ready, seems like Gamevil have confirmed that they've submitted it.

So fingers crossed that Apple get's this done quickly, I'm guessing next Friday.

This is the big one that I've been waiting for!

I was looking at some of the new games that were released recently, some took a few days, and some took up to 2 weeks for release... (I'm basing this on the new games list on here and the released date listed on the iTunes store).

I hope this game is ready because if it's half-baked, no amount of hype will save it.

I hope it comes out earlier than Friday (5/22), I don't think I'll have access to free wi-fi at the hotel and anime convention I'm going to (I have an iPod Touch).

I totally agree. Not enough with multiple threads, why the info on other games threads. the msg this game is due to be relesed and supposed to be epic and all have gotten through enough and no need to be announced on every threads

I for one don't care about price if it plays exactly based off the information collected overtime and the gameplay videos. After all the beta test it should be better than what most of us expect.

ya the testers(me included) think its great but the un orginazation of the beta progam was worse than expected-we got one early build that was in half korean and they never contacted us again
btw game is about 12-13 mb

Zenonia is a game that has such a huge budget that they run TV commercials for it in Korea. Something tells me they had more beta testers than a dozen random people from Touch Arcade.

Well, the story was ok, but kind of, overused. The monster killed my father!

I didn't like the combat system.

This is more just me, I guess. but I got bored really bored, really quick, and felt almost forced to play it.

I agree. I'm sure they had a lot of help in getting it right and time was on they're side in doing so. I don't expect it to be perfect but I do expect it to be pretty solid once its able for purchase.

Im hoping the apple review goes fast and perfect. Maybe the tester will be so into the game he will play for 3 days straight and beat it :P (or whatever they do to test games).

So i'm not sure i'm "getting" precisely what the game is. I see the Zelda-esque adventure elements, and know it is also an RPG of sorts.... Is there any similarity to Diablo? Random drops, grinding, etc?

Nothing on iPhone will ever kill the DSi. Ever.

It's an RPG that supposedly has 40+ hours of gameplay.

Seriously? Dude you couldn't have even played like half of the game cuz it was in Korean. Plus they could've added more stuff to it before they submitted. I also doubt that you did every side quest and read all the text. I'll believe the devs over you any day.

actually i didnt but another tester said it was this long and i beleive him but seriously its ten times longer than phantom hourglass and about equall to most portable square games

Regarding the gameplay time, if you're a casual gamer it will probably take you about 20 hours to complete the game because there is a bit or grinding involved. Most areas require you to be of a higher level before you are really able to take on the monsters and advance the game.

Yes, I have completed the game twice, first time in which I've completed all the side quests. Many of them were not yet translated but I was still able to accept the quests. After which, the game would show where the quest objective was on the map. Side quests were very simple and had not much variation so I had no trouble, stuff like collecting 10 specific items, killing 10 specific monsters, finding and talking to a specific NPC. I hope they've added a little more content and variation to the game since the last build I played.

On the second playthrough on hard mode, I knew the storyline much better and skipped some side quests that were out of the way. This way, I completed the game in just over 10 hours.

I'm really looking forward to this. It's a well known Korean mobile RPG. KRPGs are somewhat different from JRPGs. The only downside is the grind, but Koreans love that I suppose.

Whenever exp is involved, there will always be a bit of grinding. The opposite can be said of Zelda where storyline advancements make you stronger instead. However, I must say that grinding on Zenonia is much more tactical than other Korean/Japanese MMORPGs I've played, character position can prevent you from taking damage, and also helps with crowd control by not getting mobbed and so on. Thus Zenonia won't feel as monotonous as point and click RPGs e.g. Chronicles of Inotia.

Overall, this is one of the more enjoyable RPGs I've played across all platforms not to mention on the iDevice. Should be put on top of your priority lists even if you're only slightly fond of RPGs.

Ya I even stopped playing my beta because of the constant impossible grind and because I didn't want to ruin the game when it comes out
