The game includes 17 single player missions as well as 18 multiplayer (Wi-Fi) missions in both head-to-head and coop modes. Vogster is also hard at work at online multiplayer but can't promise it will make it into the initial release. There are 10 different robot units to use each with different skills, weapons and personalities.

looks cool. I wish the thing at the top was at the bottom though, or could possible disappear or fade out without use. It takes up too much of the screen.

Ehhh.. tried it, but it doesn't look all too great. Plus, I want people to know it's a game that was originally on the DS and not some other random game.

I agree, maybe a downward swipe on the screen to drop it down and an upward swipe to hide it again

I'm not, I'm just saying. People would ignore it if it was just some random game and wouldn't bother to read ahead and realize this is a DS game. Some people liked this game on the DS and had a lot of positive feedback.

Oh I get what you are saying. What we have here is a big ol' miscommunication. VegantTnT gets what I'm saying though. I meant that in the game, I wish the bar at the top would fade out therefore leaving more screen real-estate for the actual gameplay. Get it now? :)

I thought you were referring to the part about giving the top bar the ability to be hidden

Ohhh... total misocmmunication here. I thought you meant on the thread the little bar on top that says Robocalypse. Wow... total miscommunication sorry guys, didn't mean to confuse you.

I just hope it's not just a DS port. Here's hoping for them making use of the processing power of the iphone.

I desperately wanted to love robocalypse but on the DS the touch screen accuracy was spotty and your minion AI and pathfinding was atrocious (which your success depends upon). Either every game reviewer seemed to give it a pass because it was an original IP, had a lot of charm and was, in my opinion, a noble failure or I just wasn't playing the same game they were.
That said, I believe almost all of my gripes with the game could be solved with the extra processing power of the iPhone and a little extra polish. I'd certainly be willing to take another chance on an iPhone version of the game, even at a premium price.

Yeah sorry, added description on front page also. It has 18 head-to-head and co-op WiFi missions. Not sure if that means online multiplayer, but sounds good nonetheless.

We'll see... so far the ones in the App Store aren't that great except for maybe Uniwars, which isn't really a Starcraft-type of game. Command and Conquer looks really nice though and so does Quantum Collapse. Rise of Lost Empires is also something that looks gorgeous.

Played and loved the DS version. From the interview on IGN, it seems like they'll be making improvements to the game instead of just straight-up porting. Would definitely be a worthy purchase in my book.

I really liked this game on the DS. I just wish it was longer. The only real problem is the way you control your units. Instead of touching the area you want a single unit to move to, you set down flags (like up to 4 I think) and your robots move to and defend the flags. They spread out evenlly among the flags. So it is sometimes difficult to play strategically with your unit placement so restricted.
