i had already a ipod touch before but i had the black screenof death because of the jailbreaking and but got a new one and i was wondering shall i jailbreak it again ?

Why not?
There's nothing deadly about jailbreaking if you do it right. I believe Redsn0w does the 2G iPods.

red snow is the fastest and best it takes about five minutes and does not delelte anything off your ipod and jailbreaking is well worth it.
