TA Forums Game of the Week! (July 18th)

The results from last week are here! First place, with 21 votes goes to Tiny Wings HD. Second place goes to Metal Slug 3, which got 18 votes. Pocket Heroes comes an honorable third, just short at 17 votes. Congratulations to all the winners!

The first part is nomination where every member can vote up to 5 games to be included in the poll. 10 games with the most nominations will then be added to the poll on Sunday. Poll will remain open until next Wednesday and whichever game has the max votes, will be the GOTW.

Please note:

1) Devs cannot vote for their own games. If your game is in the poll, you can't vote. You are free to ask TA forum posters in your game release thread to vote for your game... but please don't post multiple messages about it.
2) This voting is for TA members - no outsiders allowed. You cannot bring outsiders to join simply to vote and increase your ranking in this thread.

Notice of this poll will be given in the threads of all nominated games.

Additional games that spring up in the next few days will be added to the OP, so no worries. Please wait until Thursday to begin giving nominations - this is so that we can get the majority of games listed before making decisions. Feel free to help out and list games I haven't added yet. I'll post the pending NZ releases to alert the community to them.

It's still in the works. I've gone back to uni this week and have enough on my plate without wrestling with the potential rules and planning and stuff like that. Though I think I'll put it up tonight, since it's Friday and all, or this weekend at the latest.

I can't even remember the other games I nominated... =o/

GBWG has sucked up ALL my time since I got it. My wife's upset with me because she'll wake up at night and see me sitting there playing... people at work are making fun of me because I won't move from my iPad unless I REALLY need to... and I'm (halfway) carrying on conversations with the kids while playing. =oP

So yeah... GBWG gets my vote... =oD

We all know that fr2 and GBWG will take the top 2 spots it's number 3 that I put my focus on... While PA is fun I've found alot more enjoyment out of splash.. I advise peope to check it out because it puts a Nice spin on ur traditional physics puzzler.. One of those games where it's harder to pull off what's requiered to beat the level than to figure out how(the best games will have you trying to do both cut the rope/where's my water etc..) splashs' figure out what to do takes a backseat just because pulling off the mechanic of gathering and shooting water while controlling your bubble to collect two ducks while avoiding obstacles and putting them in their little swimming pool is just really difficult. Still there is some prepeparing..judging where to go etc and it gets herder in the later levels..

I think it deserves the #3 spot for being something truly unique. A mechanic thats new to physics puzzlers, and they pulled it off very well.

Good batch of games this week, thought fieldrunners would be running a closer race(or be in the lead) guess I shoulda voted for that.. Tentacle wars is good too..

While I know Fieldrunners 2 and GBWG are probably fantastic sequels (which I'm sure I'll pick up at some point), it's ashame that Tentacle Wars will be left in the dust. I know some of you had the iPad version but now that it's out for the rest of us, I realize what I was missing. Great, original puzzle/strategy game.

Too bad Master of Dungeon didnt make the final list. That wouldve been where my vote goes to. It's almost like Crimsonheart, but is fresh on its own as a KRPG.

So my vote went to FR2. Didnt get to play GBWG much yet though.
