Hey guys, I wrote the review for my site (www.astrosaurus.com (http://www.astrosaurus.com)) but thought I would post it on here as well. Aside from reading it below you can read it here (http://www.astrosaurus.com/action/one-hour-review-blimp-the-flying-adventures.html). This is actually my first review, so any feedback (be it PM or email) would be appreciated. Thanks!
Blimp: The Flying Adventures (http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=317905091&mt=8) (introductory price of 99 cents) puts you in control of, you guessed it, a blimp. Your main duty as the controller of this mighty vessel is to safely transport clients from one area of a level to another. There are three elements you're in control of: bombs (left thumb), your thrust/hot air (right thumb) and your direction (by titling the device). There are numerous important miscellaneous gameplay elements like required object pickups (on top of your clients), time limits, helping items, enemy attack, etc. But the real meat and potatoes of the game is maneuvering through the maps as quickly as possible without damaging your blimp all while coming in for a smooth Sully Style (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chesley_Sullenberger) landing.

The first thing I noticed was just how smoothly the game handles (the word 'butter' comes to mind). Now I wouldn't call myself a huge fan of games that use the accelerometer but Blimp uses this control method flawlessly. The control input becomes transparent and in no time your concentration is focused solely on the gameplay. Controlling the blimp is extremely precise and moves how you would expect it to. The littlest thrust and slightest tilt are all picked up to make the smoothest of landings with pinpoint accuracy possible. It's the perfect amount of acceleration and tilt you need to get the job done. Towards the later levels you'll surprise yourself just how quickly you can move while avoiding damage coming from all angles. It doesn't take long before you feel a mastery over the controls and feel accomplishment around every corner for a job well done.

One of the biggest treats on top of the fantastic gameplay is how beautifully executed and polished the presentation is. The artwork appears to be all hand rendered and gives the title a unique aesthetic chock full of detail. Everything from load screens, the HUD and in game art are worthy of a rousing golfers clap for a job well done. With an introductory price tag of 99 cents you'll be hard pressed finding a better looking game for only a buck.
Blimp is a fantastic game I would recommend to just about everyone. The gameplay is damn near flawless, the presentation is worthy of praise and the price is right. After a solid hour of straight play there were PLENTY of levels that still needed to be unlocked and explored. Blimp is a no-brainer, dust off those aviator goggles and give it a go.
