StoneLoops! of Jurassica is a fun-for-all type of game. It's very easy to pick up and play and offers instant satisfaction. The type of gameplay will appeal most to fans of the popular games Zuma and Luxor (in which you 'shoot' colored balls to match 3 or more like colored balls (or stones in this case)). This is game is comprised of two modes, the standard one like the one I mentioned, and a 'grab-n-shoot' mode in which you 'grab' a stone from the constantly progressing stone line, and use it to make matches. This mode is a creative and refreshing way to deviate from the standard mode, and it isn't poorly thrown together. It's a fully featured mode just like the original.

This game also has numerous trophies to keep you playing until you get them (and they'll take you a while). These trophies range from getting a high cumulative score, to getting crazy chain combinations.
The graphics are crisp and clear, and there are tons of levels to occupy yourself with. Each one looks carefully thought out and offer a gradually increasing challenge as you progress through the each mode. You will find that levels will soon feature overpasses and difficult bends, some levels even have two stone lines.

Each mode progresses in a linear fashion, ranging from different locations (ie jungle, dessert etc), and in each section, you own a house that is relevant to the location your in. As you progress through each location, you earn additions to add to your house. However, their doesn't seem to be any real benefit of doing this and no clear reason why it's there. I assume just to give some sort of structure and continuity to the game modes as your progress.

One other thing I'd like to mention, their are numerous control schemes for this game. I don't know about you, but with a game that plays like this, I worry about the controls. Worry not, however, the developers managed to nail it on the head. Aside from the obvious tilting control scheme, there's a touch scheme as well. This allows you to touch the stone shooter, drag it wherever, and tap to shoot. Like other games in the genre, the stone appears in the stone shooter so you know which is next, as you'd imagine, your finger will cover the stone. However, the clever developers added a feature that shows a translucent stone on each side of the paddle to show you which is next. I thought this was a great feature that was worth mentioning
5/5 Stars
The game has a polish written all over it, the controls are smooth and precise, the graphics are crisp and clear, the artwork is creative and fun, and it will keep you busy for a long time with the two fully featured modes and trophies for each mode. For $0.99, you really can't go wrong with this title.
