Bejeweled 2 update

Anyone get the new update?
Oddly there was no text in the update notice - but...
High Scores!!!

Also, option to play your iPod music while playing instead of the standard porn soundtrack.

A new Endless mode which so far seems exactly that.

I love this game already and this really makes the game that much better.
Your thoughts?

Sounds good. Bejeweled hasn't been on my priority list at the moment, mainly because it's £6 and it missed 'endless' mode, which was the version I most liked playing. This update looks promising though. :)

Peggle would be an instant buy for me though. I absolutely love the desktop version.

I couldn't agree more with you on that one.

Bejeweled 2 is a good game, but I've played it in so many other forms (cell phone, 360 arcade, PC, etc.) that I just can't bring myself to spending $10 on this, when it's the same game that's been around forever.

I've been on the fence about this one for a while. I'd been eagerly awaiting impressions for the past 17 months, but... nothing. I couldn't get a good feel for what the gameplay is like on screenshots alone. Thanks to STP though, I'll be picking it up. I think this whole "match 3" thing might just catch on. Good on them for bringing this hidden gem to light.

Seriously? Bejeweled 2 has been available as a Flash game (http://www.popcap.com/games/free/bejeweled2/?icid=bejeweled2_HP_OL_2_8_19_08_en) for several years now. The iPhone version is pretty much exactly the same thing.

STP reviews are a joke.
They are becoming as bad as Appvee.

I remember when I called them out for giving Jet Car Stunts a 3 but games like 'Clue', 'Gaia', and 'Leaf Trombone' the big 4.

The reviewer tried using an excuse that those were older games and they expect more as time goes on.

NOW, they review an OLDER game and say it lacks creativity, when so many other match 3 games have so much more on the store.

I swear, the contradictions on that site are a joke.


TouchArcade is the ONLY site with their Ish together.

IGN, Apvee, and STP are run by people who would love to wish they have a clue what they are talking about.

It doesn't appear to be updated in the app store, but if you download it it'll be the updated version.
