Help Jailbreaking 2.2

Hey guys.
I downloaded Quickpwn and i was trying to jailbreak 2.2 and then it gets stuck on the last part. It says "Wait for your ipod to connect in recovery mode..." and it stays like that and nothing happens. I dont know what could the problem be. Can anybody help me please? I appreciate your co-operation. Thanks a lot!

Re-download Quickpwn, restore and try again, or both. If that doesn't work then I think you're screwed.

Can i jailbreak from another computer, like from my sister's computer even if thats not the pc i put the music and sync my ipod to iTunes?

hope your not trying to jailbreak your phone from all this free app talk, cause if you never done it before its a scary process

I have been jailbreaking my phone since I bought my 3G when it came out and I have had some scary moments and its a tough process to go thru and I am waiting to upgrade to 2.2 I read up on it and see if people are having problems and make sure the program thats out is stable to even try. So hope your process went ok and nothing messed up.

Its an ipod touch im trying to jailbreak. Im stil having problems but i think i found the problem. I'll let you know if i still have problems later. Thanks!

hey i think i had this problem
every time i tried my iphone would get bricked (stuck on apple logo)
i took all the apps i had off then re-jailbroke mine
it worked like a charm

Your supposed to jailbreak it without apps on it.

It still not working. I dont know why. I downloaded the firmware, then i installed, then i tried jailbreaking it and didnt work, then i restore, put everything on my ipod except the apps, then tried jailbreaking again and it gets stuck on "wait for your ipod to connect on recovery mode"

Now is the time to just re-format using the latest APPLE firmware. Migrate to 2.2. Then re-sync and load your apps. I've never had any issues with the iphone, but heard that the itouch does have some issues.

This is what I do:
1. Restore
2. Close iTunes
3. Open Quickpwn
4. Follow the steps
5. Close Quickpwn when the phone reconnects
6. Open iTunes
6. Sync and put everything back on it.

That's what I do. I don't know if it will work for you but you should try it.

So close Quickpwn when its done jailbreaking or when do I restore? Also, When i hit restore i have to put everything back, do i do that or do i stop?

Restore first then when it's done and asks you if you want to restore from a backup close iTunes and open quickpwn when quickpwn is done wait till your iPod reboots and then close quickpwn, open iTunes, and put everything back on.

Yo man, Thank you so much!! I really appreciate your help! I got it to work after you told me to close itunes before doing the backup. The backup was halfway through but i had to Ctrl-Alt-Del iTunes but then quickpwn worked. Thanks a lot!!!

Yo man, Thank you so much!! I really appreciate your help! I got it to work after you told me to close itunes before doing the backup. The backup was halfway through but i had to Ctrl-Alt-Del iTunes but then quickpwn worked. Thanks a lot!!!

If a jailbreak comes out for the 2G iPod touch, and a 64GB model comes out, then i'm getting it for sure. I'm still stuck on my 1st gen 8GB iPod touch. *drool*..56GB more space and speakers. Crikes.

You really have to wait...that's the hard part. Strangely enough, when I used QuickPwn for 2.2 I had to wait at least 3-5 minutes for it to jailbreak. When I jailbroke to 2.1 it did it right away. My advice would be to go through the process of all the button presses then when it's doing it's thing, go make a cup of coffee or drop a deuce. Come back, and you should be good to go!! :)

You CAN NOT jailbreak second genearation ipod touches. Only first generation.
