Cydia error?

every time i try to download something on Cydia an error message pops up and it doesnt download. is anyone else experiencing this problem? i have an ipod touch 2g 16 gigs running OS 3.0 and jailbroke it with redsn0w.

also, im new to jailbreaking so if there's something i shouldve done that i havent, please let me know.

What is the error? When you jailbroke did you have both Icy and Cydia checked?

I am not sure if this is relevant, but I often get an error of something along those lines in cydia but it loads anyway. Are you sure that it isn't downloading after all?

Yeah, thats happening to me.
Whenever i download something from Cydia, it doesnt appear on my homepage

Well I don't know what your guys errors are but I've heard if you used redsn0w 0.7.2 you want to check Cydia ONLY and leave Icy unchecked. Doing this during jailbreak seems to solve some error problems with Cydia. Icy piggybacks Cydia which could be the cause of your errors but don't quote me on that. I used redsn0w 0.7.2 and only checked Cydia during my jailbreak. No problems with Cydia at all on my part.

i installed icy, could that be the problem? if so, how do i remove icy?
