I submitted Occurro! earlier this week. It's a fast-action space-based top down shooter - my beta testers are addicted! Check out the screenshots below... (I'll post a new gameplay video in a few days.)

Endless hordes of enemies, all with different AI: Scouts, Cruisers, Battleships, Space Stations, Mines, Meanies, Jigsaws, and Stoopers
Player controls & ship motion are physics based & aerospace engineer designed - like a fly-by-wire fighter

Nice! I have to say from the beginning of this post it looked a little bit like YET ANOTHER wannabe top down space shooter with little new to offer but now I see you have a number of interesting tweaks to the old standard up your sleeve!

@LordGek - I've tried to do lots of inventing along the way with the concept. I've thought a lot about how to make this genre more exciting...I think you'll like it.

@nattylux - My fingers are crossed for a speedy approval. I sent it in on Tuesday & asked for a July 4th launch. It's in their hands!

I just tried it on my 3GS for the first time...smooooooth & fast! Ok, everyone go get a 3GS so I can add lots of coolness with texture shaders, etc. :D

Maybe... this actually looks pretty good. The art is really nice and controls don't seem too bad since you have options. Good luck!
