The free service that will answer any question via text message.

I flipping love this service, and is sometimes better than just Googling for the answer, especially if you're busy

Try it by just txting any question to 242242 (ChaCha... clever, eh? :p)

Go to ChaCha.com (http://chacha.com) if you don't get it.

Not sure if it works outside the US, but I assume it does.

I've never heard of it. How fast does it take to get a response?

If it gives answers like this (http://failblog.org/2008/11/21/chacha-fail/), it must be awesome!

Anywhere from 1-10 mins, almost never over that. But it rarely takes over 5 mins long unless it's hard to find.

For instance, asking the retail price of a product could get an answer in seconds, but asking something like "What's the highest rated Chinese restaurant in New York? And what's the best thing there?" could take a few minutes longer. And yes, they'll answer almost ANYTHING.

I even asked "Who stole the cookie from the cookie jar?" and got back "I've been known to steal my share of cookies from the cookie jar."

Oh, technology.

Ahaha, that's crazy! It's real, paid people so you never know.

Though I've never gotten an answer that far off. Usually they're right on.

How much does it cost? Do you have to pay for it like 411 or do you just have to pay for the txt message

Edit: I checked out the website, and apparently it is free! It's interesting that they have descriptions of the positions they employ.. Looks interesting!
