i think it should be a rule to PM promo codes to the first "X" number of posts. that way lurkers don't use them up. of course this only applies to those willing to give out promo codes.

This has been discussed before but in the end it's the developers choice what they do with their promo codes, not Touch Arcade's. I usually don't go after promo codes but I've found it's mostly the angry members that get mad because they didn't get a promo code that push for this so much.

Not meaning to be a backseat moderator or anything but I think devs should do what they want with their codes.

Agreed. Devs have been kind enough to share codes here on TA, that's more than good enough in my book! :)

Oh! I just got an idea. Maybe if you could some how delay posts to all people not signed for about five minutes members would get the codes instead of the lousy lurkers. just a thought.

Once again, good suggestion, but the use of the codes is all up to the devs.

What i mean is that if the site was programmed that way, so that you have to sign in to view it live.

If the dev really didn't want a lurker to get it, they simply wouldn't post it in a thread.
I'm sure most if not all devs realize that there will be lurkers when they just put the codes up as a "free for all"...

I'm sure the administrators would love to lose impressions because people can't view the forums without registering just so a handful of members can get a $0.99 game for free.

Just face it. Even without lurkers, your chances of being in the right place at the right time aren't going to increase all that much, and then everyone would just find some other way to say, "But I want the promo codes. Me, me, me!"

Thank you. This topic has been discussed over and over and over.
Move to close this thread.
Enough with the whining, already!

That domain is not taken. That's what these forums are turning into, that's where they should move to. Can no-one else see the problem?

I don't care that they are given out, I care about Game Releases not the "OMG I wanna code I'll give you a great review".

Please get a promo forum and throw this stuff in there - or rename the Game Release forum to "Get your code if you are quick".

:) Thanks. I wanted to avoid lurkers

The next promocodes I'll send, will have the same feature but I'll ask guys to reply some of the things sawn in the video, so I can have people looking at my game and understanding his gameplay.

The lurkers? at least they don't lie.

Check the Poppi thread. Check the store.

Now, why are these given away again?
