Forgive me if this is not the best place for such a question, but I figured with all these retro games popping up (like LED Football), folks might remember this one...
It was a game that I played in college (mid 80's) on my friend's Macintosh. It was a black and white game that was a bit like Myst in that you walked through the world, scene by scene, by clicking the mouse and it would advance you along the sidewalk or wherever. The story had something to do with a vampire that I think you were trying to avoid by avoiding nightfall? And it was a puzzle-solving game, again much like Myst. Ring any bells? I would love to see that game again - I just remember my roommate and I being hooked to it for a bit.

Figured it out... It's Transylvania, the first version and the one created for the Macintosh. There's a screenshot at the very bottom of this link showing all the different versions:

Now somebody please make me a version for my iPhone. : )

What about Dark Castle? Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCkbp4wurW0 . I remember playing this when I was in college in the late 80s. That would be a treat to play on the iPhone!! It would bring back great memories. Maybe a colorized version would be more adequate, but it would be a cool game. Or how about Wizardry or King's Quest? Does anybody remember Big Top or Bouncing Babies from the early 80s? Let's bring some of those oldies but goodies back!

I'd love to play all my old favourites.. Creatures, Creatures 2, Mayhem in Monsterland and still waiting for a decent R-Type game.
Guess I'll just have to get around to remaking them myself.

I used to program for Atari 800 & Commodore 64. I own all rights to three previously published games and would be happy to work with developers to publish any of the games for the iPhone platform, revenues to be split 50/50 after Apple's take.
Game 1) text based, was published by Atari and won the 1st Prize Atari ever handed out for developers.
Game 2) an arcade Pacman like clone that was published by Adventure int'l.
Game 3) graphic adventure, published by Artworx
Respond to forum or contact via email if interested. Please, serious inquiries by experienced developers only.

I loved double high-res Transylvania on the Apple II (http://www.flickr.com/photos/blakespot/2397735229/in/set-72157604441725927/).

We also need a good Risk - world conquest-type game.

There should be some sort of a "fallup" game where using the accelerometer you navigate your way throughh several blocks while "falling up" and if you get blocked by a block and you hit the bottom then you die.

I've owned every version of Risk for Macintosh, starting with the version that came out of floppy disk; but what I'd really love to see (keeping in line with the whole 80's thing) is if someone (Electronic Arts, ahem) would make a version of "Lords of Conquest" for the iPhone. I used to play it all the time on my Apple IIC. I enjoyed it more than Risk, and I think that it would be much better suited for the small screen.
