In Roadkill Cafe your goal is to dodge traffic while wheeling your handy-dandy wheelbarrow across lanes of traffic to pick up fresh roadkill. Don't leave the carcasses on the road too long or they won't be worth picking up. You're trying to deliver enough fresh roadkill to your cafe to get it a 5 star rating from satisfied customers...without becoming roadkill yourself.
This game includes five modes of action-packed, road-killing, traffic dodging fun: Cafe, Arcade, Survivor, Vengeance, and Rampage.
In Cafe mode, you need to collect fresh roadkill and deliver it as quickly as you can to your cafe. Keep your customers satisfied and earn a five-star rating to progress to the next level. The restaurant business is all about location, so as you get to higher levels, you be located next to bigger and busier highways. You must play Cafe mode to unlock Arcade mode and additional difficulty levels.
Arcade mode is just like Cafe, except it is untimed and the maps are preset by difficulty level. Here you're playing for points...how high a score will you earn?
In Survivor, it's just you, your trusty wheelbarrow, and your ninja-like skills to help you dodge 13 lanes of traffic. See how long you can survive playing on these streets.
The tables are turned in Vengeance and you'll be running from...chickens? These foul fowl are determined to get a piece of you. The only things you can rely on are your abilities at wheelbarrowing and the occasional rampaging rhino...because we all know rhinos hate chickens.
It's your opportunity for revenge in Rampage. Swerve in-and-out of traffic while running down the wildlife in your red sports car. Run over as many innocent little animals as possible to maximize your points.

Vengeance & Rampage
Gameplay
There are two control options to suit your preference, tilt and virtual-joystick. The joystick control is well implemented. Wherever you put your thumb down, this becomes the center point so you can choose to play in landscape or portrait. It is pretty sensitive so it may take a little getting used to and early on you might find yourself wandering crazily all over the roads...and besides, wheelbarrows are not exactly the easiest vehicles to pilot. However, once you get used to it, you'll be making hairpin turns to avoid getting flattened by oncoming semis.
There's lots of different wildlife that crosses the road for the discerning connoisseur including squirrels, rabbits, racoons, skunks and even bears and rhinos. You'll have to wait for it to get run over before picking it up, but once it's splatted...that roadkill is yours for the taking. Just run your wheelbarrow over the carcass to pick it up and over to the cafe to deliver it.
Beware of bears, if they catch you, you'll lose a life and only semi trucks can run those bad boys down. Also, if you see a frog, run over it QUICK with your wheelbarrow...you'll get an extra life.

Catch that frog!!!
Overall
Pros:
-fun gameplay and hilarious theme for a game
-nice looking graphics, the backgrounds are very detailed
-5 modes for plenty of variety
-global scores for Arcade, Survivor, Vengeance, and Rampage modes
-well implemented virtual joystick
-fun sounds for the animals and good background music
Cons:
-bears can stop traffic, but rhinos don't?
-the scores and other game information are aligned in portrait mode...I would like it if the information was moved when playing in landscape
-the game really begs for humorous achievements to earn - like number of each carcass type collected, or largest streak of carcasses picked up before getting hit
-you can't save and later resume a game in Arcade mode where the time is unlimited
Roadkill Cafe is a fun-to-play, hilariously themed game. The different modes give it lots of replayability. It just needs a couple of tweaks and fun add-ons to make it really great. If you like Frogger, wheelbarrows, dodging traffic, roadkill, or roadside cafes, then I heartily recommend this game.
