Here's a couple of things that annoy me. Spilling juice on my shirt annoys me. Squeaky car horns annoy me. People who scream whenever they find a penny on the floor annoy me. I could list a lot of things there, but one thing that doesn't annoy me that much is when a foreigner says to me (because I'm English) 'Do the accent! Go on do the accent!' or 'Drinking tea in your country manor, old bean?'. The reason why this doesn't annoy me is that it isn't their fault, and I blame the media for making every English citizen look like a buck-toothed tea addicted moron.

What does annoy me though is that Promo Codes don't work in Britain. People can do impressions of me all they like (presuming they haven't even heard the fact I have just about no accent whatsoever), but the fact I can't get free games here in England really bugs me. The first time I was presented with a genuine opportunity to get a free game via promo code was after I said some nice things about a nice game called ShapeShape in the thread on TouchArcade. The Dev kindly asked if he could quote me on the wonderful things I was saying in his app description, to which I said 'Gladly'. Then he offered me if I wanted a Promo Code for either of inXile's other apps, which I had to decline because I like in England. Despite this, I have a nice quote on the app store now.

Anyway, ShapeShape then. You control a black silhouette-ish square (Think of the enemies from Rolando 1) that gets pushed around in what was a unique control system on the iPod (as far as I know) until MoonDrop came out. The controls work well, but it can be a little tricky to get your funky Square dude to slow down before he sma.... he smashed into the spikes. He's quite a fragile little thing, as he can be crushed, impaled or just exploded by the time-bomb that seems to be inside him. The levels that come with the game vary from incredibly easy to mind blowingly impossible. In total there are 50 levels which took me a heck of a time to complete, especially the last one, which had me smashing my head against the wall in frustration.

The levels that come with the game are just the tip of the iceberg though, as it comes, like the other inXile titles, with a great level editor. The controls on the editor are easy to use and its quick to make complex levels. While it has its faults, and room for improvement, it is on the whole a superb level editor. If you have a wi-fi connection as well, you can play other peoples level sets and upload your own. Even if you don't, its Bluetooth compatible and you can play on other peoples levels who live near you. It also has a bluetooth feature called 'Race', which is badly named seeing as you compete against your friends in time, stars, hearts, booboos and wings (the achievements in the game), and racing takes up only a bit of the game. Saying that, when one person finishes the level, it ends in 3 seconds, but if in those 3 seconds your foe gets more stars, then they'll probably get more points. Speaking of level sets, be sure to check out The Universe.. by me...

As to wrap up the review, I'd like to say that I got ShapeShape the very first day I joined TouchArcade and that since then I've played it for ten hours. When that was $3, it completely obliterated the $1 an hour goal, and now that its just $1 its rather insane. If you don't pick this up, you don't have any limbs. It's that simple.
