Love the look of all your games.

I would say of the games I've seriously tried (CubeRise 3D and BreakTouch 3D), I liked the look of them, but found the gameplay a little slow, so I couldn't get into them.

I think this one looks promising however.

Looks like a lot of fun -- Nicely done!

Looks smooth!

Seems like it might get really frustrating to be zipped back to the beginning of the level every time you hit the wall, though. What about a checkpoint system?

Looks fun, and I have to agree with mavis, having to start over at the beginning when touching the wall would be a bit frustrating. Perhaps instead, touching the wall knocks you backwards and takes time off the clock, and record times to be put on a scoreboard, both local and global. In Easy mode, you could have it to where there's no time limit, and in Hard mode, you have to complete the level within a specific time to advance.

In any case, I'm looking forward to playing it.

I would be willing to pay $4.99 for this, but are you planning to do a Labor Day discount or something? Pangea Software did something like this for Billy Frontier, putting the price at $2.99 instead of immediately at $5.99

It's cool that you are doing a sale for the program... but can you imagine how it's going to feel for the people that buy the game only to see it go on sale a few HOURS later? Oh well, waiting for the price drop. :)

@ bootant - Not to make things more difficult for you, but that idea that you mentioned about the level editor sounded fantastic! Please add that! That one feature would add so much replay value to your game, convincing many more people to buy biiball. Thanks!

yes, we'd like to release a level editor for the game. we already have some level editor which is flexible but hard to use. we have to make it more usable. the only question is how many people are interested in the level editor for our game.

Hey bootant,
nice game!
A level editor would be really great (!) such as a function to suspend the game while playing.
Maybe you could also make different levels for easy, medium and hard challenge (just an idea).
Otherwise a very fun game, I'm looking forward to the update ;) ...

the update's pretty good, i like the speed idea and it's great that we don't have to start the level all over again when we hit something, but what's up with the score thing at the top? the numbers keep changing

So far I have seen nothing wrong with the update, I do like how the score decreases over time, makes you wanna go fast, and I really don't miss restarting every level from the beginning. So yeah keep up the good work :)

And there's a free/lite version now. Well, for me I'll wait a minimum of 30 days from now on before buying something, because I bought so much games which I played only for a few minutes, that I would have had more fun with directly burning the money. And most games seem to get a huge price drop after a few weeks and a lot of bug fixes and new features.

I'd love to see this evolve with the addition of moving enemies, and strafing. sort of like a third person/arcade shooter type game.

I think you could REALLY turn this into something special.

Hello,

with the current update BiiBall now finally evolves in two steps:

1. On the frustration vs. fun rating it now made a jump and is placed a bit on the fun side.

2. It now can be considered a game, instead of a tech-demo for the graphics engine

What's changed: Since the initial release there were plenty of updates to BiiBall which more or less included changes or features mentioned by us buyers. While I still find it annoying that the game was release in an unplayable and "unfunny" state, I like that Bootant listens and corrects the game. Since the release, the following major things changes:

- You can control the speed with tilting the iPhone
- You can disable the shooting
- You are no longer being back to the level start when touching the wall

Also there are some levels which you just can drive through FAST like level 8 and this makes much more fun than the lewels which you have to take on slowly because of the difficult edges. While Bootant did not change the depressive graphics/texture theme of the first levels, the later levels sometimes offer a brighter and more colorful style, which I really like.

Of course, there are still bugs and annoying things, of which I really can't understand why they are still there, because they are so obvious:

1. Depressive graphics. But Bootant seems to like them. Every game of them "feature" this texture style.
2. Depressive sound effects (compare the "ring" sound of Sonic with the depressive sound you get in BiiBall when collecting stuff), which (thank god!) you can disable. Just take a look at the sounds of Trism. Or Mouse About. This makes fun and keeps you playing, while the sound of Biiball just distracts you.
3. Tiny buttons on the game screen - you always overlook them and press the wrong one.
4. The screen dims.
5. You can only reach the settings when you start the game and the press this tiny button on the top left.
6. When you press the home button in the moment you loose a life the game seems to save a broken game state. When you restart the game and restore, you are at level 1 again.

But overall, this now makes fun. I think in two months the game will have reached a state where they can release it ;).

Edit: Now that I can finally enjoy playing this game I must say that it has only 18 levels which I beat - on the first try - in under 30 minutes! The last level also does not finish, but only says that more levels are under construction. WTF?!?
