LINE-DRAWING TACTICAL GAME
The goal is to escort your men without enemy patrols noticing them. In this action-paced game you must make quick and strategic decision based on your actual situation. 33rd DIVISION brings unique blend of line-drawing and reverse tower defense games with Commandos look.

2 GAME MODES
Life mode is for casual players. You start with 5 lives and when a man is killed you lose one life. You can gain a life back if you are good commander. Game is over when you have no lives.
Time mode is for hardcore players. You must watch the time. When a man is escorted you gain seconds, when a man is killed you lose seconds. Game is over when you have no seconds left.
MIGHTY POWER-UPS
8 bonus items appearing randomly on map. Including double speed, invisibility, life and time bonus, various score bonuses, frozen enemies…
GROWING GAME DIFFICULTY
The more soldiers you save, the more enemy patrols appear. Later in game you can expect mortar fire or sudden-death. You never know what to expect next.
TROOPS
In your division there are Soldiers, Medics and Sergeants. They are moving by various speeds and you gain different points. Also enemy units are diverse, you will meet a watchdog, a heavy machine-gunner, a sidecar etc.
ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK AND VOICES
Every map has its own original background music . All troops have unique character voices by Arin Hanson, The Egoraptor.
ONLINE SCORE
Each map and game mode has its own leaderboard using OpenFeint.

GAME BRIEF
A line-drawing tactical game set in the WW2. The objective is to escort allied soldiers without the enemy patrols noticing them. You gain points (and time bonus) for each escorted soldier, depending on the selected game mode. You can choose between TIME mode or LIFE mode. By drawing a line you can escort either a soldier, a medic or a sergeant. Each of them moves at a different speed and will give you a different number of points. A moving soldier can lie down and make himself disappear from the enemy’s field of view. If he fails to lie down while in the enemy’s field of view, he’ll be killed and you lose a life or time. On the way to the target point you can collect power-ups like double-speed, enemy freeze, score bonus etc. Reaching certain score unlocks a new mission.

It's your idevice ID that company have to use to send a provision build to. Use AdHoc from the app store to find what it is.

Apple has given developers a way to beta test iPhone applications with up-to 100 iPhones. Some developers have already started using this to their advantage by giving their software out as free public betas. However, you must supply a developer with your iPhone's UDID (unique device identifier) in order to install these "Ad-hoc" applications on your iPhone.
To find your iPhone's UDID, just plug it into your computer and wait until iTunes recognizes it. Select your phone from the Devices list in iTunes and click the "Summary" tab. To see your UDID, click on the word "serial number" beside the picture of the iPhone. You should see the word "identifer" and an alphanumeric string – this is your UDID.
To copy it, just press command + C on your Mac's keyboard (or control + C in Windows). Now comes the hard part: getting on a developer's beta testing list.

Yea, with the update, there were few glitches, so Apple didn't approve it. It's very hard in last weeks to communicate with Apple. Blimp Lite was in review more that 14 days and they returned it to us also few times. That together can easily make more than month! Please be patient, we submitted the update last week. We'll keep you posted on this one.

I am happy to tell you that I've sent about 50 or so emails! Couldn't send to everybody even if I wanted to. Apple only allow certain number of test devices.

just because I know you will get it all eventually, different maps, with maybe land obstacles (mountains/hils slow you down, rivers make you faster, swamps hide you etc.) more enemies/guards(longer range/ slower movement, line sight, half circle sight etc.) a fast forward button would not be a bad idea but I don't think it is really necessary.
Also I think the line should represent the soldiers color, red line for medics, green for soldiers etc. also I think the lines should be a bit larger so they are easier to see. And I just had a green soldier go through the guard with the hound without being killed, it was about 3 seconds after the guard had killed one of my other soldiers and it had changed from red scope to green a few seconds before. This was in the upper right corner right when the first yellow soldier showed up on the other side.

Hey guys, I played for a few minutes and wanted to leave my first impressions.
Tested on an iphone 3G, os 3.0.1. Current Highscore 18.
First, I love the idea to combine the line drawing game with a commando/MGS king of game.
The graphics are really nice, running smoothly on my device, the icon is great.
I am curious about other players scores, since I seem to run out of time very fast. I must say that when things get tricky (with the 3rd guard) i tend to make safe paths all the time following the borders of the screen. Obviously this is not the shortest way, and it is not very exciting either. I noticed you could lie down, but I really don't see how you can use it without loosing too much time to get a reasonable score...
I didn't notice any bugs for now, touch works fine, sight area of the guards is responsive but not unfair (you're not seen, even on the very border of the green area). All in all it is already totally playable and quite polished.
Ok, i'm getting back to it now!

love the concept of this game and love the art. this game is very challenging and thats a good thing so we can avoid the ridiculous scores of the flight control people i never wanted to play a game for that long for a high score the timer should keep that in check and as everyone is saying that is a bad a$$ icon very excited to watch this grow. i do agree to start a social group to keep some things a surprise for the non testers but maybe further down the road:)

My new highscore is 27. I think you mentioned plans for leader boards but one other thing I think you should have is an in game high score indicator, either in the pause menu or in game in the top right corner.

Already I can see that the art style is charming, although there's not very much to look at at the moment
On my 3GS the response times are perfect
The miniature animations of arms swaying as the soldiers walk is cute
The army aesthetic fits in perfectly with this genre of games
And a few negatives, of course (not really, though, because this is obviously a beta)
No music! Can't wait to see what the minds behind Blimp have up their musical sleeves
Don't like the idea of the destination being a moving yellow sphere. It should simply be just behind the enemy combatants.
I hope the dearth of things on screen is only indicative of the beta.
For now, that's all I can offer.
Wait, one more thing. The time limit/checkpoint thing I don't like at all. When I'm managing how to get my guy where he needs to be, I don't wanna have to worry about clock management, as well. ESPECIALLY when the enemies keep moving. And the area of sight is HUGE.
Overall, it's already decent. I wouldn't say fun yet. But it's well on its way.

I disagree with your main points. The destination adds to the challenge as does the time. Maybe an option to turn off or something if you want it more casual but I love the challenge. I always love a challenge in my games.

Your impressions must be VERY early cos there are different speeds. Soldier is normal, medic is fast and general dude is slow. Also soldier is 1 point, medic is 2 and general is 5 (I think).

Line drawing + commandos. Man, this game is my thing.
Just had my first three runs and all I can say is that it seems to be quite challenging, my best score is only 10. But I'm already in love with it.

Ok, so far, my high score is 21 (I've only played it two times)
The only bug I've noticed so far is when my troops aren't detected at the very edge of the soldier's line of sight. I've uploaded some pictures of the bug as attachments.
Suggestions: A power-up that allows you to kill a soldier,
And the dog that the soldier is walking with looks like a large, wavy mustache...
An interesting take on the line drawing genre, and so far I'm having a lot of fun with it, I'm glad that it is actually different to all of the flight control clones stinking up the app store.
Edit: I've also noticed that as you get further into the game, losing troops loses you more seconds, and you gain less seconds from safely making it to the other side of the screen.

Ok been playing the beta for bout half an hour now and i really like the direction this game is going and i really like everything that mabeswordguy said but a few things i would like to see...
-a mode where time is not a factor but instead you have lives
-instead of just shooting gaurds, gaurds that chase you with riot wands and gaurds that send dogs that are fast
But first impressions of the beta is that this is going to be a really fun and addictive game.

My high score so far is 103 but I have only played maybe 5 times. After playing for a bit more a fast forward button might be a good idea. A restart button is definitely needed. I second the game mode idea of lives and not timed, as an addition, I really like the current mode. Also how about multiplayer where one person controls the gaurds and the other controls the soldiers? Or just a game mode where the roles are reversed. So far I like the idea behind the game, promising for sure :)

haha. My score so far has gotten up to 23. I think this game has real potential in the app store. I have experienced one oddity that I found by just messing around a few times.
If you go to the building and start drawing quick circles the line can pass through the building. Of course the soldier can't pass through the building so he just starts walking around pathless. No big issue for actual gameplay moments, but still there incase you wanted to know.

Anways - line drawing around the house will sometimes yield a path that goes back and forth instead of just goes one way. Sorry happened too quick for a screen shot. Hit detection seems spot on - came extremely close to guards - but did not get detected unless actually in the green. Discovered that tapping the guy lets him lay down, and won't get detected unless right next to the guard.
For me, even 1 death essentially spelled the end because the time was always such that the next guy would never have enough time to get through. Maybe I was spamming lying down too much, but changing the path multiple times did not seem to help with time either.
Success with better scores (for us anyways) seemed rnadom - sometimes the places the soldiers were, the circles were, and our guys just matched up better. When you had multiple diagonal runs - even if successful, even with no lying down, even with pretty straight lines, you could not make up the time - takes longer than 10 sec to get there.
Overall looks very good. 3rd guard adds spice / variety.
Suggestions : Maybe an easy mode that gives more time for success? Maybe when you lie down time slows a little? Passing close by the guard lets you put him to sleep for 15 seconds? Have a way to let another person come out so you can run 2 or 3 at a time? (Discovered that tapping the symbol lets them come out) Clymos - here I come!
Noted that tapping on symbol to have them come out sometimes requires a couple of taps.. Hit detection?

So far I've gotten up to 31.
First impressions:
-really like the graphics for the soldiers, background, and pathing dots
-very fun yet with a good amount of challenge
-soldiers seemed pretty responsive to tapping to hide/unhide
-I sometimes had to hit the incoming soldiers' symbols more than once to have them come out
-not 100% sure but sometimes when having a soldier run right past the guard house he "bounced off"? instead of following his path?
Potential suggestions:
-with the road going down the center, how about having a jeep with headlights on drive down the road at irregular intervals and if one of our soldiers is caught in the headlights, he's lost even if he's in hiding position
-powerups/powerdowns that we can pick up or try to avoid, you would have to draw a path through them and a soldier has to run through them to pick them up or encounter them accidentally for a powerdown, example "double-time march" and all our soldiers speed increases for 10 seconds, "halt" and enemy guards freeze for 5 seconds, "reassignment" and one soldier heads to the guard house and a new one will start respawning immediately, "forced march" and the guards continue straight ahead in their current path for 3-5 seconds, "night vision" and guards get 360 spotting vision for 5 seconds, "military efficiency" and we get +10 seconds beyond the time given for docking a soldier, or maybe a powerup that would slow enemy guards for a few seconds
-how about a thin colored ring in some primary color that corresponds to the same colored edging placed around the ring we have to send the soldier too, i'm talking something thin and bright like the neon green of the pathing dots...something that would help us to immediately distinguish which ring a soldier must be sent to when we have more than one spawned on the board
-another soldier type "special forces" and with him your goal is to actually come up and encounter a guard by approaching reaching him anywhere but within his cone of detection, if successful, the special forces guy will kill the guard, and after a small delay of 5 or 10 seconds, a new guard will spawn

Haha no but since harbor master I got hooked and after around 10 tries I broke the top 50 on global boards for three maps. I have not played it in a whil but I am still 75 on one. I am can just pick these types of games up quickly, all but flight control ironically. Oh and to run multiple at a time you just press that circle that shows up where they will come in and they will come in early, that should really help improve your score.

Playing, at present, and I've hit a BAD case of slowdown. I'm at 54. If it weren't for the fact that the game is walk-oriented, I'd consider it unplayable. Still fun, though. But slowdown ain't fun.
Finished at 79. Not bad. I think the slowdown helped me... Hee hee

Just found something kinda cool. Although the enemy guys must be autistic or something...
If you get inside the enemy triangle of sight (not the enemy circle) and go prone they can't see you. I like it.

ok, some impressions:
-I might be bad, but I think that a gentler learning curve (or multiple difficulty settings) could be a good idea for the casual player. Until now my best is just 17, although I think I can get better
-Possible thing to have to look at: collisions with the wooden house in the middle. When a path goes around it, sometimes the soldier walks around it, sometimes the path gets interrupted. Seems to be random.
-When you have multiple soldiers of the same type on the field, you also have multiple destination circles of the same color. This might be a bit confusing (about which soldier have to go on a given circle), although I don't know how this could be solved. I know that you should trace the path of each soldier before sending the new one, but you could have to interrupt that path, so...
-The "new soldier indicator" could be a bit bigger, sometimes I have to tap more than once on it.
things I'd like to see:
- powerups! maybe parachuted from the allies on the field. Additional time, temporary speed increase...
-post-game statistics (how many soldiers passed for each type, how many soldiers killed for each type, longest run, shortest run)
-funny audio one-liners from the enemies ("Who's there?" "Woof!" - from the dog )
-a map with multiple checkpoints (take dynamite - make something explode - escape). Each reached checkpoint could have his time extension.

You are right, I noticed the smaller circles, but for some reason i thought they appeared when the path was finished. It's very useful, indeed - and I got suddenly better, passed from 17 to 106 :D

+1, yeah, I don't see a need for a fast forward...now I would like it if the incoming soldier icons appeared at the sides of the screen faster so we could get them to come in sooner, right now, the current soldier has to get at least 1/2 to 3/4 of the way to the goal before an icon appears, i would like it if the next guy queues up immediately once you draw a successful path for the 1st guy
a score of "just 72" :mad: ...sheesh and here I am thinking i pwn with 31 :p

i thought about how the "freeze guard" powerup could be implemented: you take the powerup and a fake soldier (a soldier crash test dummy - or even a hologram! :P) appears in front of one of the guard. The guard shoots at it and you can get past him.

Just improved a bit with a score of only 102 this time but still pants :D Gets a bit manic at times trying to keep an eye on all your soldiers and the guards and it's easy to lose track of everyone on screen but great fun all the less.

Current high of 54 but most games range from high teens to low 30s.
I +1 about no need for speed up but I understand that there are some studs *cough**Clymos* that might want it.
Disagree about being able to change destinations. Would dramatically change the feel, and I think would take a lot of challenge out.
I also have reservations about powerups. This is really about stealth, and line management like many of the other games, and powerups would really have to be carefully worked in to not appear as though they are just tacked on. Also, for this type of stealth game, I think that powerups, if any should be a double edged sword.
My thoughts are getting powerup for X people saved say 15, 35, 50, 70, 100, 150, 200. And, you can choose from several different powerup choices.
Powerups
Fear - your men move twice as fast, but you can only draw the line from that point once until it runs out. Can still go prone.
Knockout - knockout 1 guard for certain time, but other guard(s) move twice as fast.
Noisemaker - place a noisemaker within a radius of a guard(s) and they will move toward it at double time. Upon reaching it, their search area in increased, and lengthened slightly for a time.
I would like to see an easy mode that 1 guard has a pretty set path, and the other wanders. I think that after playing for a while, you get the hang of it, but early on, it is frustrating always walking into a guard that turned suddenly. I guess this depends on how wide you want your appeal to be.
Love the ideas for some vocals.

This game is really good. Has the most original concept out of all the line drawing games. I'm not really a fan of the time limit, but I get the purpose. You should do an unlimited mode also though. And one thing idk just after playing the other games like harbor master once you draw the line to the port it snaps to it and your line ends at the port. In this game the line goes through the circle idk its not a big deal but it would be cooler if the line inside the circle deleted and it just draws up to the point where you touched the circle. You should also do some kind of flare item or something you can get that draws enemies to that area. Really cool though, great work.

I think the randomization of the guards movements need to be increased. There is a pattern to it and if I really wanted to I could exploit it. I got to 124 and then lost because I got distracted and stopped paying attention. I think another good idea would be for a level with land mines that blow up and cost you time is you hit them. Another thing may be a soldier who you can control that temporarily stuns an enemy if you come up behind them outside of their sight. I am still not sure what to think of a fast forward button, maybe one that would make another soldier appear? That could be better than a normal fast forward in my opinion for this game.

When I was plying I had to send a guy back in a panic and he didn't "bounce" off the left edge and I was unable to select him to redraw my line I was able to reproduce any one else with this problem? Great fun here!!!

I lost two thy way and then the gaurd reappeared where he was supposed to be. I got up to 214 in that game but losing thos two really hurt my score since I had not lost any before them and that made me lose my time bonus :(

Haven't checked out this thread in a while.Had no idea this is based on that epic game "commando".Myslef a huge fan of that game.Hope this game will bring something similar. I am not a beta tester but got a few suggestions:----- graphics could be a little better.Loved the gfx of commando 1 on PC. I don't think that kinda gfx on iphone is impossible.I don't quite like the idea of time based challenges.Hope you will have a mode where time is not an issue.Hope this one has many levels and different environments like the original.
And finally hope this game won't stray too much from the original.

I can pretty much now get over 100 every time and usually around 150-200 most times...Only got over 200 around half a dozen times so far but will get better the more i play as only had a couple of hours solid play on it so far as also testing Earth Vs Moon as well...
For those with low scores...You just have to get lots of soldiers on screen all the time,keep an eye and lots of stopping and starting them up again and lots of changes in direction as well once you have drawn your path and trying to get them extra 4 points a soldier helps a lot and fast reflexes and also try and keep the timer up at the minute mark as much as possible so when it gets manic you have the time to stop and start soldiers,change direction etc and still get them to there target area,but everyone knows all that already ;)
And you will beat me no doubt as i'm on holiday for 10 days starting tomorrow ;)

ok, some very early impressions
-menus are great, they really fit the tone of the game. tutorial and stats buttons are already there and though not selectable, they witness good things to come
-"life" mode instead of "time" - should fit the request for more slowly paced games. good!
-powerups are there! small squares appearing randomly on the field. examples: freeze (a snow flake, freezes the enemies), double speed (a fast forward symbol), and so on. They don't seem to be so "powerful" or frequent to influence negatively the strategy of the game, but this will require some more games to be said. However, I think it would be nice to have some graphic effect when they appear
-new score indicator, improves visually the previous.
-new "spot for current soldier" indicator (you know, the thing appearing inside its destination circle while you draw his path) - seems to me a little less attractive than the previous, but it's way easier to see, so it's overall better
-soldier voices are good, but I'd like to hear funny german voices for the enemies which still don't seem to be here

First impressions from new beta:
Cool menu, tutorial screens, perfect scratched vinyl music! Two gameplay modes, great. Let's play!
Love new powerups like freeze enemy or speedup. There is huge potential for creating a really funny ones(I vote for a gay mode when one german soldier starts hunting another ones. OK, silly one)

I found something. I had a soldier killed which forced the next soldier to come out automatically (since there were none on screen) and directly into the line of fire and so he was killed which forced the next soldier out who spawned into the exact same spot and was therefore also killed. so I lost 20 seconds in a matter of 2 seconds. I think soldiers should not spawn in the same area in a row to prevent this from happening.

Like the new additions, of course. How can I not like menu music when before there was none. The character art is pretty darn good, although I do think you should've just brought over the guys from Blimp. The powerup system is pretty good. But I would much rather be able to pick them up and use them at my discretion, rather than have them be used right away.
Maybe I'm missing something, though. Back to playing...

Very interesting game. My first impression was I felt like I was playing Flight Control, but the more I played the more I got into the game. Its pretty fun and nerve wrecking at time trying to sneak around the enemies. I can't wait to see this game evolve more.

On the main splash screen are the Tutorial and Statistics choices not supposed to be working? Mine don't. Oh, is there anyway you can make the main splash menu select animated?
You know, all the soldiers are having a conversation? The more animated the better, I say.
And just thought of an addition, maybe. Is there anyway you can implement a warning sound system, so when I'm too busy leading my men around an alarm could sound. Maybe a sergeants voice telling me I'm in over my head.
Oh, I'm still getting slowdown on my 3GS. I'm gonna go ahead and reboot and see if that helps.

Funny in this beta I am getting into the 100's... I have a harder time with the lives mode interestingly then the timed modes.
The powerups are "interesting"... The ones that help are fine, but after you learn the ones that are bad - sleep, death, I just avoid, and the guards never seem to run into them, so what is the point?
The voices are nice to have, but the regular soldiers are the most common, and it is obvious that there is only 1 person doing all the different people, even though all the soldiers are different - I would try and get him either to change his voice, or get other sound bites with the same comments.
I agree with Devilishly that the guard turns are much faster, and since it is unpredictable - you can die easier. I think the reason for better scores for me is the power ups, otherwise would have worse scoring.
The fast turns almost seems artificial as well even though in reality people would turn in a second or less, but for the game, I think a slower sweep works better.
There does not seem to be the tracking bug around the building anymore - not that I can see - there is an occasional slow down at the building, but not the turn around thing, or an extra line drawn in by the game.
Its coming together very well I think.
Any chance that some of the powerups can be user controlled? Like the freeze, or invisibility - not too much sense having it on at the back of the field, although there is enough time to gurantee the guy gets to the goal.

I agree on this. Another thing - I didn't understand how bonus points work in lives mode. Sometimes I get 2 or 3 points for a soldier, but when does it happen?

I had not really thought about funny before - but it just struck me - doing guard duty - maybe you could get a power up for making one of the guards (so then there is only 1 left) that goes into the guard house to take a leak? "Bathroom break".. or another one that makes the guard go to a corner - and stays there for a few seconds - "smoke break"
Bathroom Break Dialog could be : Guard 1 : "Back in a sec"
Guard 2 : "what, Again???"
Smoke Break : Guard 1 : "getting a smoke"
Guard 2 - "Damn Cancer sticks." (to help promote non-smoking attitudes):D
Or a Chow break:
Guard 1 - "Getting a snack"
Guard 2 - "Hope you choke on it"
Powerups that thare current seem to work fine. The icons that they use seem out of place somehow - maybe due to them being squares, and everything else being round?
And as mentioned before - the ones that cause bad status changes are just avoided - if they are there for the guards potentially to run into then they should be more in the guard territory.

Thanks, great update, there is a typo in the menu though, when you click play and it goes onto the screen with life mode and time mode, in the life mode description it says "...if you loose too many lives ..." (is should say lose)
I really like this update -- the new lives mode is a lot of fun. Power ups are nice, though the icons for them need to be cleared up a little (colors for good/bad?)
Two things I'd like to see:
-bonuses in the lives mode, something like if you have two guys on the screen at the same time, they're worth double. (maybe the bonus changes depending on the type of friendlies you have on the screen)
-guard high alert and low alert. If a guard shoots someone, then that guard (or all of them?) goes into high alert mode, he gets an exclamation mark, and his range of vision is expanded. If a guard hasn't seen anyone or anything for a while, he goes into low alert, range of vision becomes smaller - until he snaps awake and goes back to normal.
I like the occasional third (or more?) guards.

Just seems not as realistic if you stop moving (while standing) and within an enemy sight they still can't see you unless you move or they touch you. If they are near you and you double tap to get into crawl position and thus camouflage yourself (if moving in crawl position your player moves at a much slower pace than walking on two legs) without them seeing you in sight unless they touch you. When they move away, double tap to stand again and move at a faster pace.
Seems it would just add another dynamic to the game.

Very interesting change in the game dynamics. It is certainly frustrating about getting caught in the Cone of Death (TM):D However, being able to move out of the Cone potentially makes the likelihood of death much less likely - as you could theoretically have every one at the 1/2 pace, and just have a few at normal pace. Makes the management piece much easier. So, if playing lives mode you might be able to get hundreds of people through. Would not matter so much for time mode as you have to keep them moving.
I like the new map a lot. Looks quite challenging.
I might be one of the people that had things to say about the voices - I like them, I just think that for the same type of soldier - you can have the phrases - just needs to sound like several different people rather than 1 person saying multiple different phrases.

The new map looks good :) I like the voices personally, but I agree multiple people saying the phrases would be an improvement. I think the crawl pace would be abused in line mode as there are areas the gaurds never actaully
walk on so they could just use the crawl mode and send them all through there. But for time mode it may be useful.

Not sure about this crawl mode, I wouldn't overcomplicate the game dynamics.
Current voices are great - some new phrases would be a nice addition, I agree with the others - glad that the german ones are coming :)

The guards and house weren't just invisible, they weren't there at all! The glitch allowed me to get to a very high score with no penalty, I got to about 154 when I got bored (no challenge you see), so I tried to see how many soldiers would go onto the screen without a crash. I got to 5 (maybe 6?)
Anyway, I pressed the home button and reopened 33rd division, still the same. I eventually managed to fix the glitch by going to the main menu and starting a new game.
I don't know how to recreate the glitch, but if someone could, they would be able to absolutely blitz the highscores table.
My only guess as to recreating the glitch would be to completely drain your battery, then plug in your idevice and open the app (that's exactly what I did)
EDIT: I got to 5 people on screen (4th image down)

What is your device and firmware? This has not been mentioned here before. Did you install new software , and power down , and then turn it back on? There are potentially a number of explanations a number which may not have to do with this app. Of course, it sure could as well it may help to send your crash logs to craneballs.

No, not jailbroken (although I was until recently) iPod touch 2G running 3.0
By new software do you mean apps? If so yes, (iMech, Bowman, Touch Cricket) but that shouldn't affect the game...

Had you been using Safari, iPod, or viewing large attachments in Mail?
If so it could be that the memory was full and the background textures couldn't load but the game engine continued running.
I've seen it happen on other betas i've done.

Okay, let's clear this up.
My battery had been drained and my iPod had turned off.
I plugged I into a power source and booted it up.
Opened 33rd Division.
Ta Da!
Hence, I don't think it was a memory problem as it had just been rebooted.

Hey, thanks for finding this glitch. It happened because there was a bug when saving game (when home button is pressed). It didn't save the level number properly so then it didn't load it neither :)

Not very good news :( We aren't 100% satisfied how the game is now, so unfortunately we aren't sending 3rd beta this week...

CRANEBALLS STUDIOS introducing a new line-drawing tactical game set in the WW2. The objective is to escort allied soldiers without the enemy patrols noticing them. You gain points (and time bonus) for each escorted soldier, depending on the selected game mode. You can choose between TIME mode or LIFE mode. By drawing a line you can escort either a soldier, a medic or a sergeant. Each of them moves at a different speed and will give you a different number of points. A moving soldier can lie down and make himself disappear from the enemy’s field of view. If he fails to lie down while in the enemy’s field of view, he’ll be killed and you lose a life or time. On the way to the target point you can collect power-ups like enemy slowdown, enemy freeze, score bonus etc. Reaching certain score unlocks a new mission.
The game will be shipped with very nice 4 maps! Each map and mode have it's own scoreboard using OpenFeint.

Its not just a line drawing game it's the line drawing game and is lots of fun especially trying to avoid those mortar attacks ;) Trust me 33rd Division is well worth getting when it's released ;)

Blimp is a great game with amazing artwork/graphics and soundtrack and if anyone hasn't got Blimp yet as well then go get it as it's a blast :)
This is gonna be a blast as well and people should deffo get this 33rd Division as well when released :)

Got mine ok ;) Tho when i copied the link in the email they sent it had a comma at the end of the link and i didn't see that when i first tried it :o Saw it straight after that 1 try tho and the game is well sweet and you are gonna love the mortar attacks and sudden death ;) Hope you get it working :)
I've had it freeze on me once tho and i was on a score close to 400 on Reims life mode ;) only got high of 263 after that cos i was effing too much :D

The new beta of 33rd Division is great and the added mortars and sudden death are great aditions,and i'm liking the new map we have as well.
Had one game freeze on me when i was down to 1 life on Riems life mode when i was nearing 400 just after a mortar attack,i heard the sound of another mortar but nowt happened and game just froze.
Also maybe need to change some descriptions in training tutorial:
4/6 the clock measure you current score should be the clock measures your current score
5/6 notifies you of a enemy should be notifies you of an enemy
Also in power up description maybe Live up should become extra life or life up
Also you have next and back on bottom in tutorial yet you cannot use these as you swipe screen left or right to access next screen,some people may think ? when first looking and try them,but sure it's not a biggie tho.
Loving it so far tho and i'm sure this is gonna sell in the bucketloads,cos it should as it's a quality game.

So, I don't have the skillz that others have. Highest I have achieved is 155. New map is awesome.
I don't know how to get the mortars to activate - have a super high score?
New voices are GREAT. Background music adds a lot. Powerups tend to be in the middle of the map, and are not always easily accessible - I seem to ignore them, unless the person is coming from the back and has to go through the middle - generally not worth turning around for, or even making a detour for.. The spawning should be more equal along all routes I think.
Should change the tutorial next and back on the sides to arrows - makes you think that pressing next will do a page change rather than a swipe page change. Dramatic overall improvement though. No glitches encountered yet from me.
How do we open up locked content? Consider a popup screen that tells requirements when you try and press on locked content.

Gotta agree with the above post. The new music and voices are awesome additions to what is turning out to be a fantastic line-drawing application. And I love the attention to detail. This game will set itself apart from the pack, I'm sure. Back to playing.

Gotta reiterate something: the voices and funky music are outstanding additions and really make this game unique. Now, maybe I haven't heard anything, but I'd really appreciate a sound for when I'm actually drawing the line, like in Harbor Master. I know this isn't Harbor Master, but some kinda "Left-Right" voiceover would be nice.
Overall, I'm impressed. To see where the game began and where it is now is awesome.

^^ I agree blimp was an awesome game and you will be doing yourself a disservice by not getting that.This one i am not too sure.Maybe i am worng and maybe this one's good.But being such a huge commando fan, am kinda disappointed this isn't commando :(:( You don't get to sneak up behind nazis and kill them!Hopefully someone will come up with a strategy game like commando.Controls would be perfect for touch screens.
Yea strategy game like Commandos would be awesome on iPhone, although this one isn't bad neither ;) I suggest you getting this one, while waiting for Commandos for iPhone :)
