I play in a punk side project with guys in their 30s and 40s, and I swear they're more immature than I am. especially out on the road. (vaseline on hotel room doorknobs, etc...)

oh, this side project wears ridiculous costumes and masks at every show. and I won't even begin to explain what some of the songs are about... lol

This craziness was all their brainchild, I was just recruited as we became good friends through our main bands lol.

When all hell breaks loose (and it has), we need actual humans in the last line to prevent things from melting down. There's only so much buildings, even smart ones, can do to self regulate. And something these "self regulating" mechanism can loop in dangerous ways too.

We've had a few crazy emergencies, but they are considerably rare. So mostly I get paid 19 bucks an hour to sit around and play around with my iPhone while I wait for something to break down :D

Needless to say, I love my job very much.

This is the advantage we have over the teenagers while they flip burgers, freeload off their parents, or just bum around while trying to enjoy their iPhone/iPod Touch.

I can't beat you. I was born in 1973. I have great memories of spending hours and hours playing games on the C64. Stupid games too like Bounty Bob to the Rescue! My Dad still has a clunky old calculator that was one of the first available. It takes a 9volt battery! Many battery changes later that sucker still works! :D

I used to hang around with "old people" (fathers in their 30s) when I was 10 to exchange video games and talk about tips & tricks, so the 13 year olds on this forum, I get it and know they are more mature than their school friends. You get to learn a lot from older folks, and mold yourself faster.
