How do you generate Promo code

I have a dev who doesn't know how to generate a promo code. Anyone have quick instructions I can pass along his way to tell him how to do it.

This is kind of related: How do you enter in promo codes you are given?

Just copy the code then command-V (paste) in the redeem section. Click in itunes the appstore then on right top side there is a 'Redeem' link.

They need to log into iTunes Connect, and then choose "Request Promotional Codes."
