Okay I finally downloaded Batting 1000 and all I can say is that it's awesome. While it doesn't have online multiplayer as some are worried about, it still has many different challenges you can play through. You can choose 'quickplay', or just go straight to the playoffs for some real fun. Then customize your player, choose your profile and start hitting some home runs.
Gameplay:
The gameplay is similar to Baseball Slugger, consisting of a Home Run Derby, hitting as many homers as possible before the player gets 10 outs. It's a great feeling hitting impossible 1000-feet home runs out of Wrigley to score points to win the game.
Controls:
Another important thing in the game is the controls, which are really great, and similar to Tiger Woods, as some have mentioned (you put your finger anywhere on the screen and that's where the meter shows up).
Graphics and sounds:
The graphics are also amazing in this game. Playing at Wrigley Field with the realistic Chicago skyline in the background makes the experience even better. The game comes complete with realistic sound fx, and the only thing I would recommend to the developer is putting in some announcers.
If you are on the fence about this game, I would definitely recommend picking it up. Although I have experienced some crashing problems, I have talked to the developer and he said they are working on fixing the problem which is due to their servers.
