The Base of it.
As the game starts off, there is no big intro showing you this is going to be something special. Once it loads up you can choose from single player, multiplayer or help & options. The help and options screen contains team settings, game options, how to play and view credits. Even if you are familiar with the WORMS game on other platforms, I suggest going into the “How To Play” before you dive into a single player match. Once you’ve gotten learning how to play out of the way it’s time for a single player match! You can choose from Quick Game, Practice Match, or Challenges. The choices even dive a little deeper with the option of easy, medium, or hard. The controls are a bit hard to get accustomed to, but once you’ve played a round you should understand how to play the game well. Soon you will be working your way up to medium or hard with enough practice. The gameplay is much like the WORMS game with touch controls, as you would expect for a port onto a touch based platform. The aiming is consisted of holding down the target circle in the air and dragging it to where you want to aim. I just hope there’s not a wall in front of you and the aiming target or you are in for a mess.
The Top of it.
WORMS has the graphics you want, and the gameplay you want for fans of the series. The game is hard to get accustomed to for even people that are fans of the series and have played it on other platforms but should be resolved with a quick play of the game and going through the “How to Play.” If you are a fan of the series this is one to pick up. If you haven’t played it before then take it if you’re up for something that does the game genre justice.
