the demo requires the unity web player (3.2mb) and should automatically link you to a download of it.
the actual demo is 900k in size.

Arghhh. Just got all 15 to the volcano...but it didn't end the game for a couple secs, so i lost three guys, and came up 150 points short...

Fletch:- thanks for sticking with it.. the full game has some better levels and more followers for you to sacrifice. id love to make a level with like 100 followers.. and on a bigger map.. maybe for an update if i can squeeze out more processing. only goes up to 40 atm

Zlibd:- better you get all your guys up there than go for the time bonus... so take your time... group your tribe into one spot by drawing quick big circles on the volcano.

pharmx :- ... in the actual game you only need 2 sacrifices to get onto level 4, that goes up for later levels.. the first 2 levels just need 1 sacrifice, during beta it swung from really easy to really hard.. theres also a fair amount of random spawning that can make a game harder than it normally might be. for version 1, the difficulty ramps up at level 5.

shermy808 :- that was close. i think for the next update i might add a random special villager that you should try and get to the top for extra points.

I plan on adding some more gamepay tweaks in updates..like speed pickups and invincibilty... but im pretty certain that for 99c you will have a good time playing version 1.

Hey EFC, what specifically do I have to take the villagers to? I get them to the center, and then they mill around for a bit (dying) before the game ends...

Here are some tips that i have learned.

1. keep trying becasue sometimes you will just get lucky and there wont be that many rocks.

2. the game is way easier after you make it around the first bend because you can watch the formation of the rocks.

2. Go for getting as many people there as possible not the time bonus.

3. When trying to doge a rock it is better to move up and down (towards or away from the center of the volcano) because this will put your people in a line and allow them to fit between large rocks. Going back only leaves the end of the line in the spot you were trying to avoid.

4. lastly the game wont end until your entire line is at the torch in the midlle so once you get there go in a small circle until your entire group is there.

Aaah. That last one would have been helpful about 45 minutes ago :o That explains a lot of things. However, I managed to eventually beat it out of sheer number of times plays, even without knowing that little tidbit...

click him and you go to the help screen... with some instructions...maybe its a little obscure.

in the actual game you get a level intro screen with tips and your target number of sacrifices.. i left that out of the demo. the full game also has a quit and pause .. but the demo doesnt.

next update im changing the altar fire to a stone circle.. actually showing you the area you have to get the whole tribe into to score.
then i can just say get all of your tribe into the stone circle at the end of the path to score.

Congratulations to the winners! I was never able to get much of a high score, but I blame that on using a track pad instead of a mouse :D Touchscreen gameplay should work out better and feel more natural.

Hang tough brother, no need to make it free. I think it's a nice little concept, that could maybe benefit from a bit more polish. Controls could use some work, as I often get hung up on the sides of objects.

Anyone here not heard of Krakatoa... before they saw this game...
just trying to gauge if the game name has put anyone off.
Im in my 30's so for me.. its the most famous volcano in history..
but im becoming painfully aware that theres some sort of problem with the game and id like to try and work out what it is.

heres a few more promo codes for anyone thats interested to try it..
Update is coming soon that adresses some minor contol issues.. like sticky lava and the sea not activating move... theres also accelerometer support and ive managed to make it work for OS 2.0 and get it under 10mb.
