You need to "unthink" what you thought about cocks and try this game out!
(humor entry....if you've seen KFC's new slogan for their grilled chicken, you know what I'm talking about)
To answer that question for real....to sell a million copies, all you need to do is get on the Top 5 paid apps list in iTunes for a couple months :D

Exposure is what you'll need....and lots of it. A little bit of luck never hurt either! Find a way to go viral, and you're golden. You can get exposure several different ways...just depends on how much free time you have or how much money you're willing to spend.

ok seriously, you'll need to promote the game a lot if want to sell that many copies. Get featured on AppStore(more of a luck required here).
Have some competetion for the gamers where you give away gift cards for top scorers on a weekly basis. Every week previous entries will be eliminated to make sure it still seem possible for most of the gamers. Have a big prize of 25-50$ for highest scorer plus a few more 10-15$ for first runners up. And then a few more for random selection from all the entries of the week no matter if their score is in the top 10 or not. Also a couple more for random user. Who bought the app in current week only.
If you follow this then either you'll end a millionaire if it works. Otherwise keep those bankruptsy papers ready :p

Another great idea to sell a million copies with much less loss. Make the app free and give out 10$ certificate to whoever can show you a 100 different AppStore purchases of the free game. Will cost you 10000$ only. :p

Use this formula;

Where Y is your sales, a is you variable (Chicken), b is your factor ($ pricing) and * is your effort (Marketing effort)
so,
1.The more chicken you have (level, task, puzzle) the fun it will be, so people will download.
2.The more the price fluctuated the more impress people will think about your worthiness of your app.
3.More effort (marketing), the more awareness people will have regarding your app and it’s exponential.

apart from classic things like lower price to 0,99, put LIMITED SALE to your description together with great grades from reviews (place it to the top of description) I would suggest to change name to Cock tycoon - manage your cocks with the subheading FREE CHICKS IN A PACKAGE
