I just realised that I can use emoticons when I send SMS! I live in Japan, but hadn`t realised that the 2.2 update added an option to enable an emoticon keyboard, although it doesn`t seem to be available in any other application.

I hear that if you have a jailbroken iphone you can use them. Has anyone bothered?

I'm so envious of you! I would love that option, but am in the US and won't jailbreak my phone... I'll be interested to read other responses!
