2 things i kinda hate but will see with the game:
1) rolandos doesnt deform in shape when they jump or hit walls unlike loco rocos
2) they cant dissolve and undissolve together... where oh where is my circle button. lolz

you played loco roco?

it's comparable to the hype we get re: NFS, sim city etc. if you havent played any of these games, you dont FEEL the hype.

and yeah.. this isnt loco roco but it's pretty damn close. :D

Rolando is Rolando, not Loco-Roco - so I'd expect a lot of things to be very different in our game...

hehe. i loved loco roco. this game might have a familiar art style, but its not the same game. get over it.

it looks very well made and well programmed from what i have seen. why do you act like you hate this game allready? why cant the game deserve the hype based on that it looks damn good?

I don't hate this game, I'm just saying that maybe, just maybe it isn't as good as the hype suggests. I mean the hype is so frickin big, It can't possibly live up to that. Or can it? ;)

So I'm not gonna buy this at launch, I'm gonna wait for the reviews from here, Slide to Play and Pocketgamer (IGN Wireless sucks), maybe wait for a price drop and then we'll see.

no.. dont worry about that. it's just a comment coming from a loco roco addict. the funky-ness of rolando is what got me into it in the first place. and sorry if im parading with a banner rolando = loco roco.

actually the non ability to merge the rolandos would be better in terms of difficulty. i also like that the video says, a heroes step up meaning one rolando HAS to be a guide!

umm. regarding the siggy. dont worry about it. those devs know who they are and still wont say anything to me. so whatever.

i think alot of the reason its getting such big hype is because it looks like a "real" game like on consoles and seems its a game tthats couldnt be couldn't happen on any other console,
and it looks clever, not just tapping buttons or tilting you do everything from command balls to using obstacles

this is the SOLE reason why loco roco is so successful on the PSP. it uses the left and right button as the main controls. sure, a regular PSX console has the L and R on the controller but it doesnt have the small portable screen that comes with PSP

Honestly, I don't see that much similarity of Loco Roco and Rolando.

The only thing I see that's similar is rolling through a side-scrolling landscape. To me, Rolando looks much more in-depth. It sure is strange to me that because of maybe one similarity, the whole game is considered a Loco Roco clone. :confused:

If you watched the most recent trailer, it looks almost nothing like Loco Roco. And in my opinion the art style is much different.

But even gameplay looks, if anything, like... Well, a mess of different games. But I wouldn't compare it so greatly to Loco Roco.

I'm not just trying to jump on the Rolando hype wagon and shout words from a bullhorn. Just stating a point of view, even though I know other's views may be different.

Do any of us know if it really sucks? No. Do any of us know if it's the greatest game in the world? Nope. Do we know even what games to compare it to if we haven't even played it? Nuh-uh.

But we'll see tomorrow/tonight. For now just keep your hats on your heads and your pants on your waist and contain yourselves :D

I'm sure there will be, there's no reason not to have one. Most new games or any complexity have them. Plus in the trailers they have all these cartoony balloon popups telling the story, and I imagine they'll do something similar through the first level to introduce you, or whenever a new type of skill is needed.
