so i was playing billy frontier i played the game in it where you have to press the triangle and squair buttons to win a showdown and when you press the rong button it makes a buzzing noise so i got bored and pressed the 2 buttons realyfast and it made like a glich buzzing noise
then i played toybot after and when i played it all the sound effects were like fullblast and sounded destorted and long and glichy. i tryed it on toy bot free also and it did the same noises, i tryed rebooting my ipod ..nothing, and i tryed deleting them and reinstaling them and still the noisses.
im not sure if it was from billy frontier or if its gliched from the new firmware or something i did but please tell me if your having this problem too because i dont want to restore my ipod for nothing if its toybot.

Im having this same problem with toybot and toybot free since this morning. I think it might be the new firmware screwing things up. I don't own Billy frontier. I did install the Toybot free demo and updated the firmware at the same time.
I have an ipod touch, not an iphone; for me, these are the only two games having sound issues. The music in-game music runs nice, but sound effects are so loud and distorted that your ears could be hurt. (WARNING)

This is serious stuff. It can take months before apple releases a bugfix. I hope IUGO knows about this and maybe correct Toybot's ear-bleed-bug. I have a couple of other games where the sound works like a charm.

I am having the same problem with Toy Bot Diaries Free. It has a very loud screeching noise in the sound effects. I have an ipod touch with 2.1 installed.

Blue Skies does it on the speech in cut scenes. Disappointing. Apple has enough software out there to test with and they should have noticed this right away.

It's the 2.1 firmware..

I have found that the 2.1 firmware no longer plays 8 bit sounds correctly.
For other developers reading this, use afconvert -d caff -f LEI16 ...
instead of -f LEI8.

If you look at toy bot diaries in the app store on the phone it mentions a version 1.2 i believe it is, that fixes the sound problem.
But the version is not there. I hope it will be uploaded soon.

I've upgraded to the latest version from the App Store, and the sound bug has now been fixed. Still no update for the free version, but hopefully that's coming. :)

Yesterday when I played Butterflies with my headphones and ouch! I hadn't played it since the 2.1 update. I emailed the developer of Butterflies but haven't gotten a response yet. I hope they'll put out an update for it, because I think it's a really fun game and sound is important in the game. I'll pass that tip onto them in another email. Thanks for posting about it.
