Thought it would be crap, but the premiere is actually pretty good. Yeah they ripped off Lost in the intro, but it was still awesome, and the slowmo stuff was bad but it was one scene.

And of course, the ending:

I think it's worth giving a chance to see if the writers can make good stories from the overarching premise or turn it into a lame soap opera. I mean Fringe was BORING when it first started, and took half a season to show that there were sparks of a possibly engaging story for the series.

So yeah, check out FlashForward, if it sucks you can always go back to Fringe or check out that V show.

:D Just watched this on my lappy after getting it this morning cos it's not on yet over here in the UK.It's looking interesting so far after 1 ep and yeah nice ending to the 1st ep.
And now all my shows are coming out again it's all good with all the C.S.I 's and i watch that Fringe as well,in fact gotta watch the 2nd ep later.
As for V, I'm old enough to have seen the original when it first aired in the 80's and i loved that show, got it on old VHS and on DVD.Deffo gone check out the new version when it airs, bet it's not as great as the original tho with old Freddy Krueger himself in it,and if you haven't seen it,check it out.

I have't seen the first episode yet, but I did catch the 17 minute preview on Hulu a few weeks back. I was really impressed with what I saw. I think the series has a lot of potential. It's very Lost-like - these two shows have a lot of crossover appeal.

I've read the book the show is based on. Some things have changed, but I imagine they'll stick to the general premise. The producers have said all the main characters' visions will occur by the end of season 1 (six months in show time). In the book, it was something like 21 years.

An interview came out today where they gave 3 reasons why they did 6 months. I think they are hiding a 4th, that the season will be a gamechanger.

It looks interesting but Thursday night is NBC night for me. I might check it out online though.

You have a link to the interview? I would be interested in reading their plans - try and see what direction they'll go.

If it's anything like the book, there's definitely a lot that can happen in subsequent seasons if they resolve the main characters' visions at the end of this season. Unfortunately, it gets pretty 'out there' at that point and a lot of the 'mystery' appeal will be lost in favor of straight-up sci-fi. We're talking strange space phenomenon and visions of the very very very distant future.

6) 5 year accordion plan (meaning they officially written for 5 years, can stretch it to 7-8 if the network asks). Also, episode structure, character centric episodes, maintaining the episodes after the pilot above stick figures and crepe paper

7) What about sporting events and bets? Significance to flashforward date in real life. Can a dude from Arkensaw jump in in the middle of the show?

I have a question, how did you get the video to actually appear in the forums? I tried to do that the other day with a YouTube video but had no success...and love the show btw, ending was AWESOME!!
