What type of review makes you want to buy a game?

It depends who wrote the user review.

If the guy can't even spell review, I usually ignore it.

User Reviews (basically forum discussion) was my choice.

Having a big name site review a game is great to get a game in front of my face. Maybe something I hadn't heard of before or something I may have not even made an effort to research. But if it makes a front page, with graphics, it has a potential to make me stop and say, "Hey! This sounds interesting. Let me read the reviews and find out more in the forums."
