i would wate for command and conquer (release this month)
fifa i dont have it but the test´s arent good and x2 ( you already own) isnt worse
need for speed shift i would go undercover/real racing undercover is cheaper/real racing has online leaugues
modern combat not bad
NOVA/shreck/eliminate not out yet

FIFA 10 is better in terms of content, but X2 can be more fun. You might want to try Madden - the game is marginally more enjoyable.
