AptBackup and Rock Backup

Hi guys, I've recently jailbroken my iPod with blackra1n and I have a few questions. What does Aptbackup and Rock your iPhone's Rock backup do? And what's the difference? If I have rock backup, do I need aptbackup?

Definitely not a good idea to add both, it made my springboard keep on crashing when my iPod was jailbroken at 3.0. Stick with nothing. They both sometimes have bugs. Write a list or something... why are you using Rock? Just wondering.

I used rock because since it was my first time Jailbreaking, I didn't know much about Cydia, Icy or Rock. The description of rock said it was better than Cydia so I just downloaded that.
