If you use the Vaporizer and practice some more, you can kick their ass every match. Maybe they can get a few kills without skill but you will always win.

I'm not a huge believer in auto-fire but does it help havin it on when using the vaporizer?

No. If your opponent is moving (which they always do, those basterds! ;)) you have to aim and fire slightly in the direction they are heading. Just keep practicing and you'll get the hang of it.

About the Offworlder: what's the point in jumping even higher then the Airborne? There is a roof in every level. I think it's just Airborne with better armor.

have you tried any of the other eliminate apps, they are all the same.
or you can keep the app installed connect it to iTunes and delete the app from your device via iTunes sync this may work.

Is anyone else having trouble connecting to the Eliminate server? I can connect to the Plus Network, and when I press connect it connects and starts downloading the update, but after a few seconds it disconnects. Are the servers undergoing maintainance or something?

Re-installed twice, yes. Hangs on dling content (roughly only 76k into it..) then says "Not connected to eliminate servers, connect or play offline practice"

lol i wouldnt be complaining if it made me a lvl 30 with lvl 30 armour and weapons and updgrades, but all it did was make me a lvl 30 with lvl 9 armour, weapons and upgrades.

and it didnt even give me the plus+ achievements for getting lvls 15, 20 and 30 :(

It is not coming out today. It sounds like it is not even quite done yet. Plus once it is done it still has to be submitted to the app store for approval.

They estimate it will be done in the next couple weeks, and it could take another week or so to get approved. So I wouldn't hold your breath.

What does hacking the Vaporizer do?

That's funny, because I find many of the "Rocket Launching noobs" not very good at playing and easily killable. That doesn't mean that all players who use the Rocket Launcher are bad, but the rocket spammers are just a pain.

As for the auto-rifle users, I agree, but the less skilled auto-rifle users, the better :)

Yeah all I use is:

Auto-Rifle+Sniper+Hook just to evade a shield basher when I see them coming for me. I've become pretty well adapted to that combo. It works perfect (for me). I still get bashed from time to time when I dont see them coming but it has never been a bother for the most part.

R.L. users are a whole different story when they catch me off-guard. I can evade (strafing) them while head-shotting pretty easily when I see them first.

Really looking forward to the co-op though. ;)

I'm paired up with people 20+ levels from me from time to time and I am still able to win rounds. There are vaporizer users, Rockets users, and Anti-matters I see a lot of. Just keep trying to hone your skills. I realize I'm not going to win every single match but I do win 6 to 7 out of 10 against the higher levels(and yes the one hit kills do happen but there is a solution to every problem rather than giving up).

Never stop moving is one way to get around a vapo-user and R.L user to try and not get hit and get health every chance you get. The Auto-Rifle requires a good amount of aiming skill. Go offline and practice your strafing against bots and headshot as much as possible. I still do that from time to time when I dont have a wifi connection just to keep my aiming up. I also have my sensitivity up to it's highest and look momentum turned off. Practice makes perfect. ;)

@Kunning I have never ran into a hacker on ELIMINATE...how can you tell?

You have a couple options:

1) Hone your skill, as the above user suggested. Practicing headshots in bot mode is quick and easy. If you're good, you'll be fine.

2) Lower your skill through purposefully losing (without energy). This option would be ok at your level, but it might take a while to get back up. If you were higher up, that would be kinda mean to the littl'uns.

I don't play anymore. Hacking the Vaporizer kills someone in one shot with an aimbot. And the rocket launching noobs piss me off. Right when I've dealt with one, another ambushes me from behind. Screw this game, I have better ones to play.

Use the mag proto instead of the rifle. Suck that it only last for 6 matches but easier to take those higher level players out.

Yeah all I use is:

Auto-Rifle+Sniper+Hook just to evade a shield basher when I see them coming for me. I've become pretty well adapted to that combo. It works perfect (for me). I still get bashed from time to time when I dont see them coming but it has never been a bother for the most part.

R.L. users are a whole different story when they catch me off-guard. I can evade (strafing) them while head-shotting pretty easily when I see them first.

Really looking forward to the co-op though. ;)

3. The best prototype are the Infantry Proto and the Mag Rail Proto. I never used the either, but I asked my best friend Near14 and he said that Infantry Proto kicks @$$€$ (My skill is by 8700. Dropped badly.) -.-

4. You get ponts/credits. If other playersquit, u don't get/lose Skill. If u join a match very early u can lose skill though.

5. i don't use zoom, so I don't upgrade it. :D

I have a nearly full upgraded Offworlder:

I do it because I don´t know for what i can spend credits, i have everything full that I want for now.

I go on:

Shield:
The Shield is full 32, its a smaller Shield than Assault or some others...so the Offworlder is not a tank..its in the middle of all armors

Targeting:
Targeting is "Enhanced" when it is full. I dont know what it mean for us, but it feels good. I think you can targeting like an infiltrator.

Speed:
Speed is that thing what makes this armor a little bit bad, when you go into a game...use sprinter 7.8...than you can run like an normal infiltrator. You don´t have sliding like the airborner.

Aquatics: its half full... for Water its ok.

Jump:
Jump is nearly Full....(one bar above). you don´t jump like airborne with it but you can reach excactly the "Damage-amplifter" with a jump in Knox. :-)

Power Up:
The Powerup is low upgraded for now

Over all: I dont know if it is any good for Players. When we have the chance to switch Armor when we see the level/Arena... than i would use Offworlder in KNOX/RIG and TANK


But to win in world vs. Jkopp its good enough.........

I just upgraded the jump all the way on the offworlder and can't seem to jump high enough to reach anything, like the amp on knox, the top part on lift, or the jet on bedlam. It is only +68. I am a bit disappointed. Oh, and don't get me started on the shielding =P.

Yes! That means my sniper suit is that invisible too because i just maxed cloaking, but does taking a powerup screw up your invisibility? And is there anyway to cloak your weapon or do you still have to get a cloak powerup?

Yea mag rails are freakin powerful!! Two- 3 bullets in the head kills you. One tip is if u have the mag rail and damage amp. If u shoot at a person in beserker u can push them back from letting them shield bash you! Maybe vaporizer pro if It ever comes out will have 8 shots to 10 shots! Lol! Then I'll won't care about mags as much. But they are annoying.

@pvp: It is an app by the name of Kero. It's made for preschoolers, so it's .99 cents for one level of tapping flies. We do need a eliminate-target range, though. Could co-op be a targeting range? :O

Because its sucks. With the vap, aim for the head and you can one shot. With the Plasma gotta get two shots in. Only way you can really whip ass is to camp and sneak up behind your enemy. Also its has a very slow firing rate compared to the vap. You can avoid the beams if you know how to judge.

To whoever asked since when do vaps register headshots?

You need to think about it this way... Anywhere you hit on the entire player will be 60 dmg without an amp. A vap shot lasts for say 0.3s. If your shot lands for 0.1s on the body itll do 20 dmg, but 0.1s on the head will still do 60 dmg. The chances of u landing the whole shot on the body is unlikely but even a touch on the head will be the same as a perfect body shot.

Screw vap, with my current setup (Tanker) it doesn't do me much good. It's ironic though because in most other games I'm a sniper, but in Eliminate I get up-close and personal. Might have to switch my gear to do some sniping.

@PVP - It's slightly thicker than a incase slider, not by much though. I think it should fit what your looking for. One thing I did notice, some aftermarket headphones jacks don't fit properly. The port for the jack is a lil too small. I still use the headphones that came with the iphone so it really wasn't an issue for me. All in all, a good case.

Why is there very little love for the Plasma Cannon? Right now I'm a Tanker with Plasma Cannon + Mag-Rail Jr. The Plasma Cannon seems like a good weapon, so why don't more people use it?

So it's ok for now, but you should think about switching weapons when you rank up. It's more fun too because it takes more skill then the 'in your face' strategy with the Plasma Cannon.

I rarely come across a plasma cannon, and when I do I'm very happy. And you don't want your opponents to be happy :)

Well I bought the Infiltrator. The speed is great but it makes the lag with the Vaporizer a bigger problem. Sometimes I hit people 4 times in the head, but a frame later they are somewhere else and as it turned out I was killing the air.

Still the best combo of course!

Ya, that's it. I'm used to larger maps where people aren't constantly trying to kill you. Also, in CTF, most people aren't in it for the kills, so there is more freedom of what to do.

Why did I have to join Touch Arcade...I was perfectly content playing Eliminate as a casual game with my setup, but now I'm essentially screwed.

I have a question. Is this the formula for damage?
WeaponDmg + Targeting - Shielding x ShotLocation x %OfTargetHit = HealthLost ?

If not, then what is it?

That seems fairly reasonable, but I wonder whether the Targeting on armor is worth the same damage value as Weapon Damage. Also, you would need to figure out the base values for different locations and % of target it.

If nobody speaks up with a confirmed formula, I'd be willing to do some test later (after I finish my damn Spanish work) to try and figure it out, because that would probably be useful.

Also, figure out % damage increase from Damage Amplifier, if no one knows.

What's the possibility of 3 v 3 or even 4 v 4 tdm? I realize co-op isn't even out yet, but I think tdm would bring a whole new element to the new and allow for badass clan wars and tests of teamwork. Also, then Eliminate would have more strategy involved other than having good gear along with FPS skills.

Any thoughts?

also i have found the vaporizer pro stats (yes it exists but idk if they will release it), it appears to be weaker but has a longer fire duration period, but the coding is odd so i need to check other versions

Also, Knox, Runoff, and Onrail can certainly take 3v3, or barely 4v4. Lift and Rig could work out with 3v3, barely. OMEGA shoulllllld be big enough for a 4v4- I'd be happy if it was just a big wide open space with powerups on the edges and the bez in the middle.
