anyone checkout the stinger wep yet?

I've seen plenty of people playing with both the pro and the jr. models. Seems better for my playing style than the RL due to the faster rockets shots, holds more, less kick back, pretty powerful, and makes a sweet sound when you shoot them. but to be honest I'm good with my current weapons setups on both accounts. Solid weapon choice if you in to rl's

Don't buy or upgrade anything until rank 5. Then buy an infiltrator armor. That is the best one. Once you are able to buy a Mag Rail Proto, use that until rank 50.

I have been a loyal fan, but you guys have ruined this game with the menacer! Eliminate used to be about precision, but now everyone is just spraying green crap. You guys must reduce the Menacer's damage, because the game is quickly becoming a joke.

Download the Palringo chat client (free in the app store and for your computer, too) and join the group iEliminate. 140 members and counting...all your questions can be answered pretty quickly :)

I agree with some that say that the menacer is a bit of an unbalanced weapon. Same for the grenade launcher. But is it just me, or has the firing rate for some weapons slowed down, like with the menacer? I still have the same level seven ammo capacity but it fires and reloads like I am at level one again. Feels like Titan slowed down, too. What gives? Am I the only one experiencing this?

Titan is the same but the menacer was overpowered so the changed it...a bit too drastic IMO but now I can play without being killed by a menaced EVERY time. :)

And while your reading thanks for Nerfing the living hell out of a gun because a few people don't know how to get out of a corner/don't know how to play.
Make sure when your engineers decide to test a new gun they make sure to pass it to the QA of babies that play online so it meets their standards as a gun that isn't going to ruin their gameplay cuz they can't break 3000 Rating.

Archetype is looking better and better by the day.

P.S. I know someones going to say something in defense to Eliminate (probably a noob happy with the menacer nerf) like don't let the door hit you on the way out, but you get to level 82 and sink a ton of non refundable credits into a gun and watch it turn to crap and you'll understand.

Because this is the most popular game in the history of the appstore. Or, at the very least, it once had the most dedicated fanbase. Second has to be Skies of Glory.

I just tried Archetype after a LONG break (and after endless rounds of mc2).

Indeed, it feels extremely weak in front of MC2 even though both games have different themes. The auto-fire just doesn't cut it!

Indeed, it feels extremely weak in front of MC2 even though both games have different themes. The auto-fire just doesn't cut it!

For me "auto fire" retains the "feel" of a FPS more than what MC2's control system offers. The gameplay in online games in MC2 is stilted compared to console FPS's, people stop to shoot, crawl when aiming down sites, it just doesn't feel like a "modern" shooter.

Archetype for me personally, offers a truer FPS "feel" with people able to do the same duck/move/shoot/strafe manuevers that just can't be done with the control scheme in MC2.

The only way to fix this for me, is to have Gameloft use the "volume rocker" as a "trigger" of sorts so that both thumbs can still be used for navigation. Otherwise you just never will get a "true" FPS feel from an iPhone game (IMO.)

Aww come on guys. You know last year when this was released was like the first time just about everyone created Canada accounts just to play it a day early. Hell I know I've even dropped around $30 in IAP's. It's run its course and now it's time to say good-bye. Every Ngmoco game has been removed from my Iphone with the exception of We Doodle and Touch pets:Cats (pretend you didn't see that last one)
Unless they step up their game (which they did not with that Star wars /Eliminate rehash), then it makes me wonder if they have a future in the IOS world.

At some point, they should've made this game free. Seriously. Not "freemium," but actually free. Maybe not even permanately. However for just a week or a weekend, if nothing else. Not at the very beginning, granted. This particular model of freeium was just so overtly greed-based. Even when they re-launched Eliminate reskinned as Star Wars they toned down the freemium aspects of the game so that it was no longer so ridiculously over the top.

If anyone in toucharcade follows my forums post, you would know that I loved Eliminate. I wanted it from the initial announcement, I waited up to download it and I played the hell out of it. I kicked a$$ in this game and I loved the controls. They were perfect and to this day... The best fps control scheme on iOS.

ngmoco lead the way in taking the iPhone seriously as a gaming console.

After all the praise, I'm truly disappointed at ngmoco as a company. The founders really took the money and ran. True entrepreneurs. I feel as if their intent wasn't bringing console quality games for iOS, it was just making money period and they saw an opportunity. I'm not hating, just disappointed.

I issue a challenge, or a call to game developers. iOS is the next generation console. Give gamers high quality games, gamers will pay you. No gimics, no get rich quick schemes, no angry birds clones. Give us console quality story based games. Give us memorable characters like we experienced as kids such as Mario, Sonic and Bonk. Give us music that stirs emotion. Graphics that make us wonder how this is possible on a phone.

Apple provided the tools and hardware for a gaming revolution. Make art, make games, make history. The next gen console was introduced in 2006 with the original iPhone. It flipped the cellphone market on its head. It made industry giants like Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo rethink there strategy because they are losing market share.

Looking back at this post, I could have ended it after the first sentence.
I guess I just want to say, take the iOS seriously. It's the gaming console of the future. Make your games universal. Innovate or get left behind.
