I think Ngmoco is running some promo (for being top#1 free app download) as food replenish is becoming very quick since yesterday. It takes like 15 minutes to refill one bowl. This is almost giving you unlimited game play. I am surprised no one is mentioning it yet. May be everyone is too busy playing the game :)

Or maybe, like me and my daughter, people stopped playing ages ago. Of course this promotion won't last, so if I tell my daughter she'll get a lot more food now- it will only upset her again when it goes back to normal. Anything they do to fix the food situation never lasts, and they can change it at any time without us needing to update. I just don't see any point in me and my daughter playing it even now.

Yeah, that keeps happening to me as well. Every few times I launch the app, it keeps forgetting everything I do.

I reported the bug a week or so ago, but I haven't heard any news about it since. I hope it gets fixed soon, because it is really irritating.

Not had a bug myself but since the entire dog and stats is stored server side maybe they can fix minor problems without having to wait 2 weeks for apple to approve an update.

My dog is getting there, slowly, but I have fun feeding him in the evenings and all that.

I think mine is working fine. I love my doggie just want to buy another but it sure takes a long time to get enough to get another dog. I had rather buy another dog and pay money for one real money an the tools. I think they are wrong I think alot of us would pay for the tools and another dog and cute clothes rather than pay for the food.

I agree about the consistency. I bought the 2 cheapest food items from the store so I could exchange them for coins, only to find out that if I had waited 3 hours I could have gotten 30k more coins for the same amount of bowls...

Although I do have to say that playing the game (with or without the "old" refill rate) doesnt require you to buy food at all. I only did it so i could speed things up a bit, I had already gotten my account to lvl 900+ before i bought the food, the refill rate is perfectly fine if you ask me...

Also a little tip: its well worth investing in "advanced" versions of items, they give you much more gold for the associated activities. This way you get a lot more puppy bucks :D

I would sell the food for tokens as the current food replenish rate seems reasonable enough. Afterall, you can't get more tokens once all your dog's stats tops up.

Then I tried to use the free Touch Pets Dogs app again. It told me I couldn't use it and had to update to version 1.2. There is no version 1.2 update listed in my app updates. Apparently the food bowl apps are all 1.2, but the free app is still 1.1.

So then I tried to play using the food bowl app instead. Which seemed to work fine, except that when I go to the pet store, the Career Tools section is missing.

The update works well for me, although the food allocation still needs work. 1 bowl isn't enough, and there needs to be a way to buy additional total bowls, so it regenerates your extra bowls fully. if you only have one bowl take that bowl out and if your puppy eats it its ok dont put the food back in because it will give you a bowl of food till you have 1.0 bowl of food then take that food out ( when it says 1.0 bowls of food) dont let your dog eat it i know poor puppy :( then it will keep adding 0.1 bowls of food to your puppys food box till it says 1.0 bowls and then take that one out and keep holding your puppy unless its starving!

Also, I'm kinda ticked off about this. I was going to get a new puppy to play with my other one, found a girl, adopted it and named it Sasha, and then after i hit finish it changed to a Male dog!! I don't know how that happened but I swear it was a female when adopted it.

That's extremely odd, never heard of that problem. When you go back to the adoption screen, what gender does it say for the dog you adopted? Does it say female?

You cannot undo it. I didn't like my puppy but I was told to change my Plus+ username, what you do is delete Touch Pets, reinstall and then login with your new name. You will have to start over though which I doubt you will want to do but it's the only solution sadly.

Yes. Playdate with another dog and take them into the dog house. Their socialization and friendship (if they are a friend dog) skills will automatically rise. As far as I can tell, as long as their socialization and or friendship skills are rising while in the doghouse they don't lose energy. You can also use the projector to view a slide show of events in your puppy's life. And if your dog is in a romance you will need to take the two dogs into the dog house and let them snuggle as part of the Doggy Date tasks.

I've also noticed that if you take the dogs into the dog house and shampoo them (I no longer use the sponge on the dogs - just shampoo them to 100% clean and then brush them. This uses much less energy.) they get clean much faster and easier as they don't move around as much and it's quicker to clean them. how do they get a boyfriend or girlfriend geez! this is hard sims is better!:D

Everytime I do something, such as raise my social level 50 levels in a day, or do some career levels, it friggin resets the next day, giving me no reason to continue now that my rank keeps resetting.

Also, I have two dogs and one of them keeps reappearing and disappearing. My money keeps changing as well. This is so dumb =/

The app icon with the 10 on it is your new touch pets game updated to version 1.2. Once you login with this version you get your free food and your dog will be in the game with all abilities etc. You can delete the original app.

Was hard for me to do cause I developed an association between the app icon and my dog and was forced to switch to get the free food.

That happened to me. What you should to is go to the place where you actually do the mission. Under the requirements section, click on the tool you need. It will take you to the shop, and from there everything should be fine.

In the last couple days, I've been having a hard time getting either of my puppies' happiness into platinum. I will have, for example, almost all their stats between 98%-100%, including energy, but still their happiness is between 60-75%, and so if I ever get it into platinum, it is only by the narrowest of margins, and rarely stays there.

The only stat that I have trouble with is "let out" because you can't make the dogs poop constantly, although I do keep them outside most of the day. But even then, "let out" will be at, say 85% and everything else at 99-100%, and yet happiness is at 70%. The upshot is that I only rarely earn any puppy bucks.

This was not the case a few days ago, when both dogs seemed to be cha-chinging the puppy bucks. I would wake them up, and see their stats way low, but their happiness around half, and I would just take them out, do all the things with them I needed to (cleaning, petting, agility, etc.) and pretty soon they'd be in platinum and I'd quickly be getting hundreds of puppy bucks in.

Is this something that the game administrators have changed? Is anyone else having this problem? Or is there some unseen "trick" for making them happier that does not show up in their stats?

I've tried leaving them alone for awhile, letting them chill in the doghouse, letting them chill in the house, playing with them, etc. But at this point, I'm totally stuck in the game, for example, because although I do have the tool I need for my one dog's next career step (crime fighting) it tells me that because he's only at 70% happiness he might not be successful at his task.

Yeah same here. I let my dog out first thing, then when he does his business I get the +100 and it bumps me right up to platinum. Then, all the other crap I do with him like cleaning and playing is earning me puppy bucks the entire time. It sounds like what's happening to you might be a bug. Maybe try pm'ing mjmoco, allen at ngmoco, or b-money and see if they have any answers for you. Also I believe you can try support@ngmoco.com. I really hope it IS a bug, and not some change in the gameplay that they've made that will make it harder for us to earn puppy bucks.

I've absolutely had a similar problem. Sometimes when playing the app, it fails to save your progress when you quit.

The only solution at the moment is to simply play shorter sessions, so that the progress you would lose is only lost in minimal amounts.

I emailed someone from Ngmoco about it, but I have yet to hear back about a fix, and it has been 2 or 3 weeks. Hopefully they're working on solving it.

Hey there,

We are aware of this issue occuring with a small amount of users. Unfortunately 1.2 has not been approved yet for the free version of Touch Pets so you will need to continue to use the 10 bowl version for that account (you can delete/re-install the free version and use an alternate Plus+ account if you'd like).

As far as the career section goes, try going into one of your started careers and selecting the required tool in the career step menu. This should take you to the career tools section and it should be in the store menu afterwards.

If this still doesn't solve the issue, email us at support@ngmoco.com with your Plus+ gamername and we will further troubleshoot the issue.

It could be because other people are taking your dog out on Playdates and juicing all your pup's daily stats. If you visit your own profile from the Dog Feed and scroll to the bottom, you'll see a menu that lets you set playdate permissions. You can make your dog unavailable for playdates, only allow playdates (social attributes), allow play and caretaking, and allow play, caretaking and training. You can set the level of activity for friends, followers, and everyone else.

I'd try making your dog unavailable for playdates and see whether that fixes the problem.

Ok - this is really weird. We can see the happiness
meter dropping. Fed dog, petted dog, got platinum happiness.

Then watched happiness drop very fast! Much faster than the dog on our other iPhone (owner name is Gobeatty).

Your career tools section might have disappeared from the pet store like mine did. Try going to one of the career sections, and when the box comes up with the tool required for that step, touch the button for that tool. It should take you to the pet store and bring back the career tool section if it had disappeared.

Today I bought my 2nd dog, she was $8,000. Later on when I went back to play she was gone and my money went back to what it was prior to her purchase. When I went to go re-buy her she (and all the other dogs) now costs $19,000. I'm guessing this is the regular price for a 3rd dog, is there a fix for this?

Wow, the dog I adopted yesterday has disappeared today. I even lost the money (puppy bucks) that I had spent on it... Not cool! The app keeps crashing on me, too. Whenever I go to the social part of the app, it crashes when I try to view the dogs I know, part.

I hope Ngmoco ups the amount of dogs you can have, I already have 3 lol. ANd I was wondering what the Rockstar career thing was, for about a week or 2 its kept saying my dogs were ready for Rockstar Career Step 1 (which didn't exist at the time).

Edit: All dogs now cost 29,000, I don't have that much money lol.

I am having a problem that other users have had in the past but I didn't see any way of fixing it. My dogs' relationships with other dogs don't show up and it says that my dog has never had a playdate even though I've done a bunch. There are no friends listed even though my personal feed would say my dog made a friend. How can I fix this? My id is Ema926 if you need that. Thanks!

I hate that you cant view other dogs exept your friends dogs cause my dog was in a relationship with someone named maxinz and now i cand find her.my dog always keeps saying "misses romance" but also "has enough romance in his life",and i need romance for scientist career step 8:(.any help?

I have really enjoyed this game. I don't have the time to put in all the day, but when I do play I find that I am addicted to making my little puppy happy. Great work in making a game that is easy to play, but hard to put down.

Well it seems many people have come on here asking how to create puppy love and gone unanswered..

I too have just gotten the game and would like to, and apparently you use perfumes and breath mints to create attraction, but is there more to it?

Can species not mix? Is there anything extra having to be done? Or even some secret beyond those two?

hey there after tryin for days i think i finally figured out how this romance thing works, both my puppies are happily in love

steps to romance
!) dogs must be a friend
!) after 3 or 4 days of consecutive playdates romance should bloom once the following steps are followed

Anywho here's my guide to make puppies fall in love:


1) Make sure to only go on playdates with friends; puppies, I REPEAT DONT GO ON PLAYDATES with random people you see on the dog feed, if you do see dogs you want to play with from the dogfeed you must first add them as your friend & then go on a playdate with them. For those of you who don't know how to add friends from the dog feed the steps are as follows

a) Press global feed, then select the feed that interest you, example if you see "rosaali indulged Rory with of tasty treats" select it then a screen with the puppy's name and below that would be the owner's name, SELECT THE OWNERS NAME NOT THE PUPPY'S NAME, then select the owner's name again when the new screen comes up, then you would see the option of add friend. the you can go back select the puppy's name & now you can finally go on a playdate

2)Now puppies can be impressed or jealous by other puppies skills. hence before you go on a playdate i suggest you get all your skills up till they turn green (more than 80%) puppies usually remain aquaintences with other puppies when the other puppy seems medicore & unexciting. So i suggest that you try to get all the skillls (catching ,fetching etc) to be very high also ensure that the tricks are at 100%

3)now you must ensure that your puppy is clean i suggest you bathe him/her in the doghouse, they don't move around as much hence using less enegy.

4) you should invest in the breath mints and both sex perfumes to place on both dogs. the problem i was having with romance is that lots of dogs had crushes on my dogs but for some reason my dogs only became aquitances with their playdates, if this happens don't give up you just need to experiment add lots of friends with lots of different dogs & see which one is right for your pup. Example my white female german shep has a thing for dark male germ. sheps and waterdogs weird huh?? she only befriends those types of dogs. so from now on its all about luck try playdates with different breeds of dogs. Now when you go on the playdate try to play a little of everythin alittle agility ball, a little frisbee etc but don't play one game too long because the pups are competive & if one dogs keeps catching & fetching the other dog feels jealous & loses interest.

5)Now when the dogs first meet is the most critical time for the playdate it will set the entire tone for the playdate. so ensure that your pup is smelling nice & the other dogs is smelling nice when they 1st sniff each other, this is a critical moment & you have to be careful when applying perfume to the other dog( the one you don't own) you have to apply it it quick & without touching any of the dogs in such away the puppies think you are going to pet them. Because say the dogs are meeting for the 1st time & the other dog needs a bath and you apply the perfume the puppies will get distracted & automatically become aquaintences & they lose the chance to get in that inital sniff, if the puppies are jus starin at each other just leave them if more than 20 seconds pass & nothin happens then start to pet one of the puppies and then pet the other puppy, never pet one puppy too long this cause them to become jealous. Most of the time if your dog is goin to become friends with a puppy it happens almost instaneously within the 1st 20 secs of the playdate after the inital sniff. if you see that the pups have been playing for awhile & they are aquaintences, thats not going to change for the rest of that playdate, might aswell let that puppy go & keep on adding friends & playing with dogs, play with as much dogs as possible.

6)now hopefully by this step your dog has befriended at least one dog and hopefully it is of the oppposite sex. It really helps if you have adopted more than one dog now, but it isnt necessary. The reason i say this is because you can 1st have a playdate with one of you otherr dogs (not the one you are trying to make a romance with) and here you can enxure that the playdate dogs is clean & has almost 100% for skills & tricks. now this playdate dog is ready to impress your puppy, nowchange to the puppy you want to fall in love with friend playdate dog and romance should bloom as they are both clean and skills are almost 100%!!
