Yea. Last.fm is similar, but doesn't save the stations I create, which is stupid, and uses a less accurate engine to determine songs. I fire up AOL if I am after a specific radio station.

I use Last.fm. It's the only station which has the music I listen to. Techno ftw!

Pandora is easily my favorite, with Digitally Imported (http://www.di.fm/) as my second.

I haven't tried Wunder, but Pandora is great, and if they go out of business, I hope Mozilla or somebody invests in the Music Genome Project. It is great, and has found me some great songs, and some fantastic indie artists.

AOL radio is actual radio and i'm not quite sure but isn't pandora technically not a radio app?

To me the best is the ONLY ONE which can play in the background (non jail broken at least) and that is using Safari and typing in somafm.com (http://somafm.com) and it has 14 streaming stations.

Flycast for sure, it has Hardcore Sports Radio which is on Sirius and has Shoutcast support.

Pandora. That's all I need and I'm happy :)
XM on my iPod would be awesome though.

It's definitely a radio app, the only real difference is that you create your own radio stations based on a song or an artist. Random songs will continuously play that are similar to the original and then based off of your feedback. It's your own personalized, self-learning, and evolving radio app in that way, which is why it's a lot of people's favorites.

Does anybody have an idea why Pandora isnīt available in Germany?
... and is there a similar app that you can recommend?

Last.fm
Also there is an "antenne Bayern" radio app which is nice
I did not like Wunder Radio. I thought that of all the streaming radio apps, this one had the most skips and stutters. It didn't matter the station or whether it was over 3G, WiFi or Edge, it far and away skipped the most.
I love Pandora because of the prospect of hearing something new in a genre you like. But I don't look at Pandora as a "radio" app in the same way as AOL radio or the like.
My favorite radio app would have to be Internet Radio Box. It has thousands of Shoutcast and Icecast streams. It is pretty well organized and is, in my opinion, the absolute quickest in terms of starting to play and I cannot recall ever having a skip or stutter issue with the streams.

When Slacker radio comes to the iphone I think it will be worth checking out. Caching content and playing while you are off of a wifi or cellular connection sounds like a cool way to discover new music.

I like WunderRadio. Having local weather and traffic reports immediately available is a boon.
There is nothing in the Canadian App Store called 'Pandora.'

Fstream is great!:)
You can add almost every streaming station, no list or so!
Only that it's French and they don't translate the updates always, but the program itself is English:cool:!

Besides Pandora, I personally like Radio Box. There are a ton of stations and you can shake it to randomly choose one for you. I believe its a paid app though. :)

Ok, for anybody outside of the US, Pandora is not available. The Music Genome Project obviously couldn't get licenses for every country. Try Last.fm, which is ok, and is fairly similar in picking songs.
The Music Genome Project is the database that runs Pandora, FYI. Just in case you didn't know..

I was using Pandora way before the app came on my computer, and when it came out it became easily the best radio app available.
