I'll believe it when I see it. I'm not entirely convinced that this update is going to do anything to fix the control and camera problems anyways, and even if it does, what took so long? I bought this game months ago, I'd love to be able to enjoy it.

It may end up being like the Duke Nukem update - bringing the controls from unusable to just merely bad.

I don't think it will be that great for just that much. Will wait to see if it's good. I did like worms tho. Even before the controls update i didn't know what people was talking about. The controls where fine.

ROFL, if they'd spent all these months making the online multiplayer for the iphone worms game, which btw is the lousiest worms port ever, it would had been done by now. I played it on my friends iphone 3G, almost threw the phone into a thrash can.

Couple months ago they said multiplayer is coming at the end of this year, now it is next year. Don't take my word for it, CHECK THEIR TWITTER HISTORY. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, suckers you all.

Team17 had been on my "shady devs list" for awhile now. It just moved up in ranking on that list. Getting pretty close to the infamous *satan curse his soul* Kahlid Sheikh.

Thats just playing with words. They said multiplayer is tricky back then and had to wait till end of the year. Everyone assumed they meant full online multiplayer. What is so complicated about bluetooth multiplayer that it can take so long for the famous Team17 which had years of experience in game development to do? Other indie devs got it running faster than them. They were just busy cooking up this worms express 99c con-job to squeeze more money out of fools.

Well, its obvious i'm not a calm hand like BigA, but these kinda crap gets me worked up. Sorry to those who find my sharp comments offensive. They are NOT aimed at you guys. Here's more:

I mentioned in another thread that as consumers, we reap what we sowed. Support crappy shit just based on the dev's glories on other old platforms is just incentive to the devs (in this case Team17) to give you more shit to squeeze money out of us. Think about it people!

I don't care what glorious reputation Team17 had on other platforms (I love worms amargeddon on the PSP) but their performance on the iDevice platform is just abysmal.

Just like BigA mentioned, other smaller devs had online multiplayer FOR MONTHS NOW. Star Hogs, Kil.a.ton, you name it. Did Team17 lost all their bright developers that they had to play catch-up on their own game/turf/genre? They had been doing worms multiplayer for years now, damnit...

It's just shady and greedy, there's no other ways to explain it. If they really wanted to make good on that worms multiplayer promise, they could have got it done last month for crying out loud.

I blame the iPhone more than Team17, it's total crap for a game like Worms. If I'm not playing at 1680x1050 with 50+ weapons and a cursor to click with, it's just not the same.

DS version was worse though.

Worms Armageddon ran great at 640x480. Granted that is still bigger than the iPhone's 480x320, but not by much. Team17 could have done a lot better.

Maybe so, but I'm sure there are other limitations, especially when it comes to taking it online. Personally I couldn't play at 640x480 either, I'm so used to playing at super high resolutions by now... they really take the game to another level.

All i can say to that is, give games like BigA's favorite :D Star Hogs a run. That is how you do a proper trajectory game with both great single and full online multiplayer.

I blame Team17 totally. Other devs had shown you can do a great trajectory game on the iDevice platform.

i mean if it's still in development and it's posted in the appropriate forum(UPCOMING games) that doesn't bother me so much. the dev just wants to get their app's name out there and drum up some hype to guarantee some sales. but this particular forum is reserved for games that are actually out. this thread was made over eight hours ago and we still have nothing.
