Is there any way to get out of the $30 charge for changing your number on AT&T?

Yes, go into a retail location and tell them that you want to change your number because you've been receiving a lot of harassing phone calls from (make something believable up). Should let you change it free of charge.

Thanks, just called 611 and they said they would waive the charge :D

I hate collection companies! There not even calling for me!
