View Full Version : Ravensword Expansions, what would you like to see?

Simple, title says all. I know we're excited about it coming out today, but I'm equally excited about what is to come. So post your suggestions, what you'd like to see in an upcoming expac.
For me:
- Classes, especially a mage class.
- More than one attack, like maybe 3 would be nice.
- Talent trees (not essential, just a great feature of good rpgs)
Lets hear your thoughts.

They can add a way to contribute user-made content like... books in a library that can be downloaded to other devices from a server maybe? After a few months, they can pick the best story and make sidequests out of it or something.
Aside from that, maybe a combo attack or something, or an attack that will blow the enemy away if its a killing blow, that effect never fails to amuse me in oblivion. Just posting random ideas...

i agree with your points
as class i would love to play as a dwarf
so there schould be different characters or classes like rogue, mage, dwarfs, elves or something like that
more citys woul be nice and more life in the game, i mean more different people which do there daily work and with which you can interact with.
also i would like to see in the game things like break into houses and be thief just like in oblivion etc.
i played it know for a short time and it´s a great game specially because it was made by two persons!!!

Looking forward to hearing everyone's suggestions.
A few big ones that we know we are adding are skills and spell casting.
Definitely want to add blocking and shield stuff - I think that would make the combat much more interesting. We're even talking about a co-op multiplayer adventure mode! Shhhhh.... Don't tell Russ I said that!

I played the demo of risen, but it didn't run well with the nvidia geforce 7600 go (the 7xxx series has a bug that makes that game look verry grey and collourless! :( )
I don't know how it will run now with the ATI x700 mobile, but I'll download it again on steam now!)
Back on Topic:
For the magic, you could make some dark caves and then you could use some magic to get a light that would light the cave! (I'm not a dev, but maybe if the game turns down the draw distance and makes stuff out of the draw distance balck, you'd just have to get the bit between stuff you can see & stuff you can't see right!)

Not sure if you guys follow our Twitter but we just signed on an artist from Bethesda's "Elder Scrolls" series to work on the Ravensword Expansion pack.
He's been concepting new ideas for the past week.

I'm not sure how to say this but it all comes down to making the game more RPG like, and that's about it. I could give examples but I think you know what I mean, stats, loots, skills and so on. Everything else is fine, and very well done. Achievements would be nice too.

Not exactly sure yet - the expansion could be an entirely seperate game (much larger)
I think we're doing an update in between though - but looking for suggestions now.

WOW, that's great news Josh. I'm also very glad you'd like to add some spell casting, I'm a mage at heart :D
another little thing, maybe in the ui settings, but the option to zoom out a little in the 3rd person view would be really nice.

Id prefer it to be all one game as that would mean buying and playing the game again. It should just resume where I left off.
Id love mnore multiplayer options and also to be able to buy things like houses, a family and customise stuff.

:DDDD I love the game so far!
Definitely would like some kind of city to perform quests in... TES fans would die for that. A decent amount of dialogue, but i liked how you kept it short and sweet. Keeps the attention.
More items! :)
Character customization
Option to have FPV as default (or maybe that could be an update)

Three things I would like to see:
-Alchemy (pickable plants that you combine 2 or more of to make potions)
-Mage class (more magic)
-A large city with more quests (from guilds maybe?)

Guys the game is really wonderful, the graphics are beautiful, the palette is perfect, the music is charming, the sense of exploration etc are all what I want from this type of game. However, before an expansion, there definitely are minor things that could be changed/optimized that collectively would greatly enhance the overall experience:
1) Doorways - can doorways be clicked to open? having user input to open doors would stop a lot of frustration from constantly going back and forth on accident (minor nit but would make a difference over course of game)
2) Health bars over mobs - Do I even have a chance if I continue to hack away at this skeleton or should I try to leg it now while I have a chance?
3) Mobs don't attack until you are in a closer range -Mobs currently pull from within a really wide radius, way before I can see them given the draw-distance on my 3G. It would be nice to be able to shoot an arrow at a non-aggro'ed mob and get the first hit prior to it charging. This is possibly top of my wish list.
4) Option to auto-target mobs that are attacking - When a mob attacks, as long as you are not already engaged in a fight, it would be nice to automatically lock-on instead of spinning around trying to find the source of the snarling, gnashing and rapidly depleting health bar.
5) Option to distribute skill points to stats. 'nough said on this one already.
Thanks again for an amazing game it deserves even more praise than its already garnered and its amazing to think that two chaps pulled this off themselves without the resources of a huge studio...really astonishing!

Ok so I'm rather surprised how the forums today are sorta empty... lol
EVERYONE'S PLAYING RAVENSWORD!!
Ok so what I would like as an expansion:
1. Customize your character, include goblins as a playable character. (They are my favorite characters in the whole game!!)
2. GUILDS! You can't make an RPG without guilds...
3. Be able to go inside any building that is within the game and own a house
4. Thieving, be able to attack citizens in the game and get caught for it maybe? (Prison, pay a fee, or escape)
5. A few major cities and some minor cities along with Kings, princes, queens, and other rulers
6. Make your way upwards in society (Eventually tell others what to do)
7. Of course an arena/minigame would be awesome!
8. Be able to have 3 slots for characters for those of us who like trying out different ways of playing a game
9. Travel on ships and own a horse to ride.
10. OK and this last idea (I could have come up with more, but I didn't want to be rude): Be a soldier in an army where you have to go out into battle with NPCs and also sneak around being a "scout" or some form of responsibility like this. You could even make this be a different part of the game, such as a minigame, except not so "mini"
And yes I think that you should make the expansion an addon where you have to pay for it because this way you will make more money to be able to make an incredible expansion!

BTW Ravensword is awesome... By far my favorite of all time! (until the expansion comes out)

1. A compass!!! Or some way of having the direction you're facing, more defined. Maybe make the map screen more interactive so that the green marker moves around the map with the player & shows the direction you're facing.
2. Def more character customization!
3. Weapon & armor info... & maybe a world bestiary or enemy guide.

I'd be interested in seeing what players would like to see in the monster/creature department. I'm currently sketching up some beasties for the expansion.
Any "must haves" for fans of the game? :)
What I'd like to do is start updating my website with "beastie construction" news. I'll have to ask Russ and Josh is that's do-able though. They might want to hoard the new menagerie until later. :)

For me it's all about character customization and creating a player unique to how you like or playing the same game several times as completely different characters and getting a different experience each time.
To that I think the following are key:
- Diverse skills that cannot all be learned by one character
- Separate classes specialized to different set of skills (ie, mage, warrior, monk, ranger, etc..)
- Varying playable races with different strength and weaknesses
- Allow players to create enchanted items to further customize their skill levels
- I would also love to see the dark arts like thieving and necormancy personally but that could be handled as a separate expansion from the others.

character customization is top of ma list along with an all new equip screen as per a majority of rpgs (eg WoW).
many more armour types, weapons and trainable skills. perhaps a fishing mini game :D

First of all.
Game looks awesome for 1.0 from a 2 person team. WOW
Suff I'd like to see
- Option to play female main character (we girls like to game too).
- Skill trees
- Direction indicator for current quest. (Borderlands does this well)
- Direct access to the map from the main screen
- optional mini map (vector graphics)
- have the map blacked out for areas you haven't explored

I have to say, I kind of agree. People should value their imaginative work more. It's okay to offer suggestions, since the real work is in implementing them. But whole stories, specific missions, etc -- that's a bit much for people to just give away.
[Edit] I just reread what Aurora wrote, and I realize that I misunderstood. I guess the question is how much would the developers polish the user-made content before it's available for purchase.

I would love to see an character customization, new weapons and armor, maybe different races (dwarf, animal-human mix), an online arena where your character could fight with other people's characters, evade/block command, buying houses, quest directory, maybe even shops that earn you a certain amount of gold at an interval of time, and for magic I think it would be cool to have to originally have to draw a certain symbol to cast a spell, but when you cast it X amount of times by drawing you'll have the option to press a button to cast.
When u enter the town or forest and the loading screen comes up. I wish it would say the name of the town. more interactive map. So u know which way ur going. Plus a compass.

A tiny little addon that I would like... (you could even just make it a simple update) is to make night and day. Also another thing is to have the NPCs more interactive.

Major thing I would like to see is a way different approach to character custimizations, lots of different classes so we can't just do everything with one character. I would like to see custimization on how our actual character looks and even different races. Lots of difference classes like clerics, wizards, nexromancers, Druids where we can transform into animals, class for pets... All that good stuff. Alot more places to explore, bigger cities with more interactions, guilds, also another thing, I think you should revise the movement, I feel like I'm always gliding one way or another even though I'm running straight. The character should always be centered in the screen. And maybe just give us the option toove forward back and straff left and right, no in between because it gives a wierd feeling that doesn't look right as your moving. Also I would like to see alot more armour and full body armour not just shoulders and head, full body prices like gloves and torsos and legs and boots, and a wide variety of armour types like leather, metal, or robes for mages. And also alot bigger variety of weapons.

Please keep it in one app! I would pay the same amount either way ( DLC or new game) but it'd be so much nicer.
Looks like everyone is covering the basics pretty well. I'll add a couple. Ability to access options from the title screen. Volume slider in options for sounds other than music. A click of some kind when clicking through dialog. Long term, voice acting.

the map needs some fixes
and it would be great if the arrow shows the directions you are looking
and if you buy arrows (for the bow not the one above ) or sell more things make a slide bar where you can enter how many you want to buy/sell

the big expansion pack update is going to be basically another game completely and take several months to complete. a smaller update would contain a few things - easier ones - depending on the time frame.
so if you wanted to do a list of the small things that you'd like to see in the next update - and the big things for the expansion pack - that would be very helpful.

i'd certainly like to see this game continue and expand, as opposed to a new game all together. so i vote for a small update with cosmetic changes, then a larger one filled with new content/classes/abilities and such. one of the changes i'd like to see come in the small cosmetic update is a gear screen, instead of having to equip my gear in the inventory screen, have the classic rpg screen where i can fill my gear "slots".

And I think on the big expansion you should consider doing combat a little differently, I like hoe youget to gave us co trol of our combat but when it's just hitting one attack button over and over it's not that great, you should have our characters automatically start meleeing if were in range, you could have one tap on a target just select them, and a double tap to start combat. Or have a option to turn Agro on and off. So our characters automatically start to melee while we use our skills that our classes come with.

what i want in the game is:

I TOTALLY agree with these awesome ideas! If we got only those features in the expansion, I would be more than happy! :) I hope Josh and Russ like these also....

One thing I really liked was something that was done in Two Worlds (yeah I know), you could stack your equipment. What I mean is if you get 10 daggers, you could stack them so it becomes a level 10 dagger. for example a level 10 leather helmet could be better than a level 2 iron helmet. It's a good way to make good use of otherwise useless equipment.

My few ideas for expansion/new game whatever.
Several towns to travel to.
Guilds in towns.
Inns with NPCs to chat to for rumours and quests.
Inns with notice board for quests.
Inns for sleep/restock food.
Bigger dungeons/underground caves etc with more levels.
More weapon and armour types. Rags, cloth, leather, ring, plate, scale, enchanted.
Magically enhanced weapons and armour. Fire, ice, poison.
Some magics, Ranged i.e Fireball. Healing, sleep, fear, hold.
Different land/islands. Boat travel.
Willingly pay for expansion/DLC.
I think the game engine is fine as it is. Not bothered about the walking/jumping or sliding on the floor etc. Controls worked fine for me, got to level 18 in one day. Aiming with bow fine, got the bees first or second shot.

i want the hero to share a special moment with a girl like Link in the lost forest with the kokiri girl Sara. Like build some kind of relationships. I think that will add to character development and allow the player to become attached to the hero (one thing elder scrolls definitely lacks)

Yes that would be excellent. That was one of the main reasons I didn't hate Link in Ocarina of Time, since it was more realistic.
Without these touching moments it's impossible to get close to the main character at all. He'll just be some nobody that you find in any other RPG, walking around the town trying to save the world and kill monsters.

I was hoping that something like that would happen between the hero and Beatrice -- she was so patient with him, waiting all the time in that tiny room for him to get almost killed so she could revive him ;). It would have been pretty cool if they'd somehow ended up together.

My few ideas for expansion/new game whatever.
Several towns to travel to.
Guilds in towns.
Inns with NPCs to chat to for rumours and quests.
Inns with notice board for quests.
Inns for sleep/restock food.
Bigger dungeons/underground caves etc with more levels.
More weapon and armour types. Rags, cloth, leather, ring, plate, scale, enchanted.
Magically enhanced weapons and armour. Fire, ice, poison.
Some magics, Ranged i.e Fireball. Healing, sleep, fear, hold.
Different land/islands. Boat travel.
Willingly pay for expansion/DLC.
I think the game engine is fine as it is. Not bothered about the walking/jumping or sliding on the floor etc. Controls worked fine for me, got to level 18 in one day. Aiming with bow fine, got the bees first or second shot.

So from all these options so far what are you guys looking at to put in the expansion as of now? Also will we see any change in the controls, I saw a couple people say they needed to be changed and one person that liked them. Could we have 2 options or more if you think of them. I personally like my character always centered in the screen and not moving left or right across the screen when I turn, it Also throws me off to be running halfway between forward and sideways and to see his legs only movin one way or the other, I feel like I'm sliding across the environment and his leg movement doesn't lign up with how far I am moving. Or in what direction. Another thing I'd make sure you have a in depth leveling throughout the game, make it hard to reach te level cap. Also I'm surprised this hasn't been mentions yet, but some monsters that required big raids and dropped valuable items would be sweet

I don't mind what is added :D but new areas and items are always nice.
Ability to auto lock onto a mob when you hit them would be nice instead of touching them every time.
Loading screens to maybe show which area is loading, by text or something.
Which direction I am facing on the map screen so I know if I am going east or west etc.
Casting some magic or 2nd attacks in battle would also be a nice extra.

I don't know if this has been mentioned or is already in the game (just got started) but I'd like to see professions such as Mining, Alchemy, Thievery, Smithing, Tailoring/Crafting, and so on.
-I think reputations and popularity would make the game interesting (if there are more towns in the future).
-I'd also like more than one save file (probably 3) because I have an older sibling that would like to try the game, but without disrupting my game.
-Of course: More lands, creatures, NPC's, armor (since there's not very many), weapons, and so on.

If what you are looking for is an RPG, then yes, the game will seem incomplete. If you can live with the limitations in that area, then you can really enjoy an open-world action adventure that is unprecedented on the platform. But if you simply need to have all the trappings of a traditional RPG, you might as well wait for the expansions.

Off topic post, but Just want to say Josh and company that you guys delivered a marvellous product with the capabilities of the Iphone. I've been playing Ravensword non-stop the last 3 hours, since I downloaded it :p. For it's price, you guys delivered. I'm sure if you had a PS3 or Xbox360 development time and money equal to the Big Studios, Ravensword would've pushed the Iphone's capabilities with a massive world ala Oblivion :p. I'm hoping you guys add more stuff with the expansion, or someday have a GOTY edition :D :p...I'm sure with the sales and press your garnering, Bethesda, and Bioware are considering more serious time to enter the Iphone market, with high quality games. But since your first, try to get a snag hold on the market ASAP. Love that the Applications store has a good mix of Indie devs to create Big franchise names.

When you tap on a troll or rat it's got a green ring around it. In gang$tar the ring goes red when it's nearly dead. I hope you do something like that.

thats a cool idea - rather than having a health bar floating above him...
probably really easy to do too!
I also like the idea of auto-targeting if something attacks you - so you don't have to swipe around so quickly. I know Russ is making the swipe controls even more sensative. I like mine on about 3/4
A lot of games take the targeting ring one step furthur. You can also use it forthe old school /con (consider opponent) which let's you know how hard it would be. Green for trivial, white for even, yellow for hard, red for death wish. The ring itself could be the HP indicator and just degrade into a semi circle and such as the HP drops.

I know I was bugging Russ about the comment for ages - we ran out of time and money - had to get it out otherwise face bankruptcy. We're still cutting it close now as we're not getting paid until February!
Just getting more credit cards to pay off the bills until then...

we did best the first day, not as good the second day - but I know why - the first day had all of the hype, and that made it move up the charts. Now its sitting there, moved up a little, should do a little better tomorrow.
I'd say we've done well - and I'm very proud of everyone involved to get us to this point. We don't know how long its going to last so I'm always thinking worst case scenario, every day.
I don't think we're going to be rich - but I do think we'll be able to pay our bills and continue doing what we love.

between #1 and #16 top grossing is HUGE difference apparently.
I think #1 is literally 16x more sales than #16 (wow - that obvious?)
This is all from what I've "heard" about the #1 spot - and knowing whats happening in the #16 spot. Still then - I don't know how the big ones like EA survive if they have teams of 20 or more people working on a title - knowing that Madden may only gross $700,000 in the current App store situation.

Loving the game so far, and you seem commited to it which is great, I'm sure we'll see some cool updates in the future.

It will give the much needed funds to do all the addons everyone has requested!
I've been shouting about it to everyone I know with an iPhone, and I've rated it 5 stars in the app store with a review.
Being realistic, for the sooner small update I like the idea of the target around an enemy turning red when they get weaker, and the map to show what direction you are facing.
Also when you equip items in the menu can the text of the item change colour so you know at a glance what your equipped with?
These are only small tweaks I'm sure.

You're just crossing the top 25 threshold and top 50 thresholds, which is huge. Since those are when they start appearing on the iPhone App Store app's top lists. 25 by default.

While I like the game and appreciate the work and dedication that's gone into it I just can't get past the clunky thumb swipe to turn movement method. It's so frustrating I don't even want to pick it up. Maybe in a future expansion you could include some alternate turning method that works with the same hand as you're using to move forward and let the player define the movement method he wants to use in options. Wish I could suggest something but alas I'm not an iPhone game dev so I wouldn't know where to begin. I'm sure you considered and tried different methods but there has to be a better way. Oh and incorporate all the suggestions everyone before me has made. Thanks!

Here are some thoughts:
Well I got this anyways since I've already completed Zenonia three times... and so far here are my thoughts:
- The graphics are excellent, sound/music are excellent too, very mysterious
- Controls seem smooth for me, though a bit jerky when turning the camera
- Dialogue is not excessive (thank god it's not like the textbook-reading in The Quest), yay I'm actually not falling asleep reading it
- Overall, it's a pretty fun game, and I plan to continue playing it
However...
- Please do something about the main character... he just looks way too ugly to be biologically possible, especially when he stares at Beatrice after reviving in town, that's gonna give me nightmares -.- So are most of the NPCs... they look absolutely freaky; is it just a problem with 3D model being reduced in quality on the iPhone or something? Or were they purposely designed like that? I hope they weren't o.o
- There are much too few enemies outside of town; I walked around the entire area around the ruins, and found perhaps 3 enemies?? I know it's not a Zenonia where there are enemies everywhere, but at least make it so that you can always see one enemy within your field of vision or something... the terrain is just way too empty right now
- Allow enemies to regenerate much faster, so we don't have to keep going back to town and going back to field to train; since those goblins have a high chance of killing the character if he's below level 4 without adequate equipment, there's no choice but to train on rats; not everyone will "cheat" and keep playing the archery minigame to earn infinite gold for better gear, but I did anyways since I got tired of walking miles to find one rat to defeat

honestly - thats the part of the twilight princess that I hated.
thats what part I didn't make it through because it was just so frustrating.
I'm just being honest.
A wolf summoner - I think that would be cool - summon a wolf to kill things.
but being the wolf - the way zelda did it - annoyed me sooooo much. That little thing on the wolf's back too - god that thing drove me nuts.
actually maybe it wouldn't be so bad without that thing, and that parallel dimension was just lame. excuse me for ripping on a classic - although I did LOVE the rest of the game.

I always played First person mode in oblivion, and if you could make the sword more easily seen that would be amazing. If you could instead of just make the camera inside his head and see the normal model, make a new model that lays over the camera that looks more first personey and shows the arms more.

A few big ones that we know we are adding are skills and spell casting.
Definitely want to add blocking and shield stuff - I think that would make the combat much more interesting. We're even talking about a co-op multiplayer adventure mode! Shhhhh.... Don't tell Russ I said that!

I'd like to see a more logic.
for example -
1) Why all buildings are made of stone but paling around the city is woodden?
2) If the the times are hard - why there is no guards, why there is no gates?
3) Have you ever saw there any normal, rustic haystack? Hmm, there are no such haystacks, there are only round modern mechanical made haystacks :D - there should be "middle-age" style not modern times...
I have played only a hour or so and I like this game, but there are a lot of such funny stuff as I said above.

I've read most of the posts and I agree that there should be some customization, guilds, shorter enemy range distance, more weapons and auto-locking for enemies that do try to attack you and smoother camera turns.
But I think in terms of the enemy range distance and auto-locking enemies that attack you; these should be made an option instead in an option menu. I rather like the fact that if I can see or hear them, they can obviously see or hear me (even at a far distance). I also like not being able to auto-lock onto attacking enemies, because if I can catch them by surprise, they should have that chance too. It just makes the game more realistic and fun to play with. IMO.

I think in the expansion there should be more different weapons and armors, different classes, character customization, skills that you can learn, horse riding anyware, on horse combat (for example, you could learn a skill, where your horse runs in circles around the target, autopilot then your character turns around and can fire arrows at the target). Some evasive manuevers, oh and I think there should definetly be more magic. One last thing, I think you should be able to get a homing amulet for each town (there should be more than one town). I think with those updates this would totally be the number one game in the AppStore! It's already in my list of best games played for any console! Good job guys!:D

How bout an option to play the game in fps mode all the time. I find fps mode to be the better of the two. And maybe you could just take out the full model in fps mode to save some resources... Having only the hand and weapon animations shouldn't be too hard to do.

I like 3rd person better because you can see whats around your character.

Really not sure yet - the balls are rolling though.
I think Russ mentioned something about Christmas for an update -
but I'm not sure what that means exactly, or what is truly going to be in the update. The only definite thing I know will be the Crystal network incorporated, which means, achievements, trophies, etc... Obviously that will be in Minigore as well. Things I would like to see are blocking and some updated combat stuff(fixes to that strength display issue) maybe a few new weapons, areas to explore, more high level beasts to kill in certain areas. That's me - I can't speak for Russ here.

I like 3rd person better because you can see whats around your character.

I don't want to bog Russ down though - he's already got a growing list!
you guys already have the firstperson coded... just make it an active option cause everytime i get out of the menu or change areas it goes out of firstperson. i actually checked, you guys do cancel out all other animations. (as fas as I could tell, you only see the arms, you clip off everything else) So cant you guys just put it as an option?

For an update, that would increase your sales a lot! People like competing against other players.... I think you should convince Russ into putting your ideas that you just mentioned for an update...
Btw how often do you get paid for Ravensword? Because I would imagine that times aren't so well for you now w/o money...

Your right - we don't get paid til February.
I'm having to get other jobs to pay my bills until then, and work on Ravensword when I have the time.
Luckily I found an artist who works for a good price, and Chillingo will front some money for it.
Talking to Russ about what he wants to do for the update.

I'm really enjoying the game--my fav so far. Currently I'm level 17, visited almost all locations and completed many quests--I'm looking for the knight in the cliffs/caves now.
Personally I think character devlopment and interaction with other in-game townsfolk really polishes up a game. That said I'd like to have small conversations with different townsfolk. Maybe they can even provide hints to secret areas in the game, etc. At least now they all tell me the same thing--go speak with so-and-so but more in-depth (not really random) conversations would be cool.
I agree with everyone else as well that being able to associate stats and even buy more types of weapons with different attributes would be cool. The images don't really have to be different for each (a sword can be a sword) but different damage levels and abilities would be cool.
More locations would also be cool--i.e. creepy swamp, more dungeons, maybe a lakeside ship to explore.

We're sort of all over the place right now - shooting ideas at each other.
What about a "Bog of Eternal Stench" from the movie Labyrinth?
Maybe 'Swamp of Eternal stench'
In the latest build that I have from Russ, you can:
Flip the screen
Swipe sensitivity major increase
Treasures in the town
Strength display issue fix
We're going over other ideas, and I'm checking out some artwork from our new artist Mark. (for the expansion)
I think the update will be around xmas time.

its been mentioned, we even had a poll going for it in the upcoming games section. It was outvoted by more than 2:1 for an expansion pack first though.

Okay, one thing that you have to add to the update is having the megatroll respawn like other enemies that would be so nice for leveling up after you beat the game. Thanks,

Outside of skills, which Josh has already confirmed, my two biggest wants would be:
More quests/additional storyline.
More areas
And in that order. I'd love to see the world expand over time with cool new areas, but I really think the existing world could hold more content, and could be done with less effort than whole new areas.
My honorable mention would be player housing, but it really isn't a need of mine. Just a nice idea. :p

A few big ones that we know we are adding are skills and spell casting.
Definitely want to add blocking and shield stuff - I think that would make the combat much more interesting. We're even talking about a co-op multiplayer adventure mode! Shhhhh.... Don't tell Russ I said that!
I adore Ravensword!! I am VERY excited about you adding skills and spell casting.
If you added co-op multiplayer with online play (not just local wifi), I would DIE! lol
I absolutely would love classes being added as well. What about having a party for combat? I know that would take a lot of developing but would be so awesome.

I also like the idea of auto-targeting if something attacks you - so you don't have to swipe around so quickly. I know Russ is making the swipe controls even more sensative. I like mine on about 3/4
If you do have an auto targeting feature, it would be nice to make it quick and easy to un-target. It would be frustrating to be low on health and trying to run away and keep being spun around by the auto target.
By the way, this is by far the best game I've played on the iPhone. I'm really looking forward to more from you guys.

there will be more from us - We are powering through the update right now so that we can focus more on the expansion.

Yes - thanks! I just found out this morning, and no doubt - its helping it stay in the top grossing list right now... the more money we make - the better the expansion pack will be, theres no doubt about that.

The strength stats problem isn't just visual, I leveled up, then a lizard spawned near me, I killed it in 5 hits. I travel through the doors into the place where the demon boss is, I check my stats, and see that my strength only shows up as 15, so i thought that it was just a visual problem, I ran up to a lizard and it took me 12 hits to kill it. That is the only thing about this game that isn't totally incredibly awesome. So yeah, just thought I'd let you guys know.

Underwater area? How long do you think this guy can hold his breath? Jk, yeah that does sound like cool idea. The one I really want them to include in the update is a respawning Mega Troll. It would be so much easier to get super jump at lvl 50 then. Plus if I get high enough I would want to try to take him on melee without jumping on his head.

Would love it if you added a big city with more quests and shops. To be Honest, You should make a new "main". storyline to complete aFter the first one, but with more interesting twists. I felt like the biggest suprise in the story were that my character was... Well, find it out yourself. The other parts where just: find that, return, kill that return. It was never: Go find that, Darn, its gone. Enter the evil fortress. Darn, its closed. (except the castle thing, but the npc still knew what was going on...)
You see my point? I was almost like the NPC's knew exactely what were going to happen.
Also, a sub-storyline (not different from the guild storylines in oblivion) should be added, unlocking a new class.

I can tell that you are a Zelda guy by the way the game plays out (which is why it's favorite game too). With that said, since there is such a huge open area to search, why not give us more reason to explore EVERY inch of it. After the game is beaten there is little more to achieve.

Secret worlds and treasures would up the replay value tenfold. Even hiding certain "Ravens Gold" or something similar would give people a reason to keep playing for hours upon completing quests.
It's really cool, Josh, that you guys are so willing to hear your customers/fans suggestions so openly. This game is truly a masterpiece!

I finally brought the game few days back. Love it, but really the amount of content in there is quite lacking for an rpg. I think we are all spoiled by the elderscroll series or even the final fantasy series. One town and one area and such limited weapons with no magic casting is really very very lacking.
Please consider expanding the content drastically. Like bump it up by 4~5x. This game has so much potential but the lack of land to explore and lack of magic and weapons is quite a letdown. I would willingly pay 9.99 if it had at least 4 towns/cities, magic, classes and dungeons. Sure, it is the best looking rpg on iphone right now, however i can't help but feel that i did not get my money's worth. My 2c...

But on topic, I would like the camera to be improved, so that when one rolls the camera downwards, the camera would go above the guy's head pointing almost down, because now it points to ground behind his feet.

You should make a new storyline that starts when you talk to a dwarf in the dancing goblin tavern (you know that place right?). He will tell you that he need a brave hero to kill the great dragon living in a cave in the mountain, because it have been burning down towns and stealing gold. Then you will have to reach this mountain, and go through tunnels dugged by the goblins, through a orc infested forest and more. Then, when you arrive to the town of Dravia, you will see that the path is blocked by huge boulders. Then you must Explore the town to find a man that knows a different way in, but he will only open it to you if you help him kill some monsters(you choose) then you must enter, but you find out that no arrow or the ravensword can kill the dragon. So you have to find the lost sword of the dragonslayer, only named "the DragonFang" wich is a sword that cant kill any creature but dragons
you should add this... Maybe with some other twists.
