Hello lounge people!
I wanted to hear your thoughts on which Messaging program is better in your opinion. Be sure to state if you are using a Mac/apple computer or a windows.
I have Windows and am using both, Msn for friends in Europe and Aim for friends here in the U.S. And I have to say MSN wins hands down.
MSN pros:
-being able to change nickname
-Using a picture saved from your computer is quick and easy. You can choose the size of the picture.
-Patches help in customization
-Fast transfering of files through shared folders
-Custom smilies/emoticons
-Msn spaces with hotmail account
-E-mail is easy to access
-Custom animations
-Messages that tell you when someone has signed off/on
- List goes on...
MSN cons:
-Posibility of viruses
-Occupies more space than Aim
Aim pros:
-Small file size
-Can't really think of anything else that MSN doesn't have already
Aim cons:
-Non custom smilies
-Crappy animations after use of a smiley
-picture form your computer has to be a specific size
-Doesn't tell you when someone has signed on except for sounds
-Non intuitive settings
-Same nickname,
-Ads appear on top of contact list
- List goes on....
So what do you think? there is arguable stuff here. correct me in things they I put wrong.
