Hi,
Tell here something about your all time favorite movie because I want to know about your favorite movie.
My all time favorite movie is 300 and I have seen 300 movie about 14 times. In this film , in the Battle of Thermopylae of 480 BC an alliance of Greek city-states fought the invading Persian army in the mountain pass of Thermopylae. Vastly outnumbered, the Greeks held back the enemy in one of the most famous last stands of history. Persian King Xerxes lead a Army of well over 100,000 men to Greece and was confronted by 300 Spartans, 700 Thespians and other Slave soldiers. Xerxes waited for 10 days for King Leonidas to surrender or withdraw left with no options he moved. The battle lasted for about 3 days and after which all 300 Spartans were killed. The performance of Gerard Butler and Lena Headey in this film is excellent.

"That's what I like to hear. But I got a word of warning for all you would-be warriors. When you join my command, you take on debit. A debit you owe me personally. Each and every man under my command owes me one hundred Nazi scalps. And I want my scalps. And all y'all will git me one hundred Nazi scalps, taken from the heads of one hundred dead Nazis. Or you will die tryin'".

My favorite movie is Eagleeye.
Here is what the movie is about: Jerry Shaw is an amiable slacker with an over-achieving twin brother. After his twin dies in an accident, strange things happen to Jerry at a dizzying pace: a fortune shows up in his bank account, weapons are delivered to his flat, and a voice on his cell phone tells him the police are on their way. Jerry follows the voice's instructions, and soon he and a woman he's never met are racing through the city, on to a plane, and eventually to the Pentagon, chased by the FBI. She is Rachel Holloman, a single mom; the voice has threatened her son's death if she doesn't cooperate. The voice seems to know everything. Who is behind it, what is being planned, and why Jerry and Rachel?

"Oh bliss! Bliss and heaven! Oh, it was gorgeousness and gorgeousity made flesh. It was like a bird of rarest-spun heaven metal or like silvery wine flowing in a spaceship, gravity all nonsense now. As I slooshied, I knew such lovely pictures!" (This was said while listening to Ludwig Van's Ninth Symphony)

Carrot (Sandro Cenoura): Have you lost your mind? You are just a child!
Steak with Fries (Filé-com-Fritas): Listen man, I smoke, I snort... I've been begging on the street since I was just a baby. I've cleaned windshields at stop lights. I've polished shoes, I've robbed, I've killed... I ain't no kid, no way. I'm a real man.

Boy 1: The big deal is dope, you got it?
Boy 2: If you wanna be a dealer, you gotta start as a delivery boy, see?
Boy 1: This delivery boy business is real bullshit. The time it takes being a delivery boy, then security and then manager, is way too long.
Boy 2: What you gonna do? You've gotta wait for them to die...
Boy 1: No way! I'll do it just like Li'l Zé did: you gotta whack everyone and that's it!

Can you guess the film ;)?

SAME HERE! Best movie ever...
We wanted to blast the world free of history.... picture yourself planting radishes and seed potatoes on the fifteenth green of a forgotten golf course. You'll hunt elk through the damp canyon forests around the ruins of Rockefeller Center, and dig clams next to the skeleton of the Space Needle leaning at a forty-five degree angle. We'll paint the skyscrapers with huge totem faces and goblin tikis, and every evening what's left of mankind will retreat to empty zoos and lock itself in cages as protection against the bears and big cats and wolves that pace and watch us from outside the cage bars at night.

"Imagine," Tyler said, "stalking elk past department store windows and stinking racks of beautiful rotting dresses and tuxedos on hangers; you'll wear leather clothes that will last you the rest of your life, and you'll climb the wrist-thick kudzu vines that wrap the Sears Tower. Jack and the beanstalk, you'll climb up through the dripping forest canopy and the air will be so clean you'll see tiny figures pounding corn and laying strips of venison to dry in the empty car pool lane of an abandoned superhighway stretching eight-lanes-wide and August-hot for a thousand miles."

That and Truman Show, Then again Forrest Gump is pretty great as well...;)

I'm actually happy to see that 4 people already consider it as the greatest movie of all time!
BTW did anyone get it's 10th aniversary Blue Ray pack? Was there something special too? (This movie is quite special enough though!)

1. District 9, it's just an awesome movie.

2. Wanted. Who doesn't like this movie? It's awesome to see everyone get destroyed in the end, especially Sloan :p Angelina Jolie's best movie by far..

Both movies are tied for my favorite all-time.

I have way too many favourite movies... these are just some:

Chi Bi [Red Cliff]: one of the most classic Three Kingdoms period films, retelling the Battle of Red Cliffs; unfortunately lots of key parts of the battle were omitted and lots of facts twisted; still fun to watch though
Hero: probably the most classic and artistic semifictional wuxia movie ever made, directed by one of the most famous directors too
Tou Ming Zhuang [The Warlords]: another great (but a bit too realistic, thus lots of blood) semifictional movie telling of the assassination of General Zhang Wenxiang in the Qing Dynasty
Ye Wen [Yip-Man]: great semifictional documentary of Ye Wen's life during the Japanese invasion
The Da Vinci Code: it's not as good as the book of course, but still enjoyable to watch; I love films where lots of information is conveyed
The Ring series: still remains as some of the most scary movies
Pirates of the Caribbean series: <3
The Secret: the love story of two college students studying piano performance, with some magical elements; resembles Jay Zhou's high school experience in the past
Sekai no Chūshin de, Ai o Sakebu [Crying Out Love in the Center of the World]: one of the most moving and artistic movies ever, tragic love story

"That thing had better fly, or you can kiss your chances of losing your virginity goodbye."

"It's unbelievable, the director has actually torn up a huge section of my music. They say I have to rewrite the opera. But it's perfect as it is! I can't rewrite what's perfect! "

"Was I chewing gum before?"

"I don't want to kill you! What would I do without you? Go back to ripping off mob dealers? No, no, NO! No. You... you... complete me."

"'What's happening here?'
'We're both in barrels. That's the extent of my knowledge.'"
