geoDefense / geoDefense Swarm - help needed!

Thanks to you guys and grrls I became addicted to TD games...

Now, after playing The Creeps! and Elemental Monster TD my attention focused on geoDefense and geoDefense: Swarm.

Which of these games would you recommend and where is the main difference between the both games?
I remember I read that geoDefense has fixed pathes and Swarm is open field?

3 Difficulty Levels
Fixed Path
Online Leaderboards via Openfeint

geoDefense Swarm:
3 Difficulty Levels
Open Field
1 new tower (not in geoDefense)
1 new enemy (not in geoDefense)

I'd go with geoDefense Swarm. Almost everybody says geoDefense is better though.

So, I assumed you are telling me that there are two fractions of fans and each fraction is defending "their" game with maximum devotion?

Btw., I tried the lite version of geoDefense, but there is none for Swarm. If there would, I hadn't the need to ask here... ;)
I really liked the lite of gD so far.

Too bad they didn't make a 50% sale - then I would buy both games... *grin*

Well, I have both and as of now I play GeoSwarm more. But, it depends on what you like. GeoSwarm is openfield and geoD is path D! Goodluck!

geoDefense is brilliant !

Swarm is good but not as good :)

I prefer path (geoDefense) because I don't like having to build tons of cheap towers to build a path (geoSwarm). It's like a long boring setup before actually playing the real game. I do admit it requires at least a bit more thinking and more flexibility with your strategy but even if you are really good at TDs, it's just more boring to execute in the open path TDs (imo).

I prefer geoDefense. But i see more replayability with swarm. I dont like building walls in swarm and actually havent played it in a while. I recommend geoDefense. If you like that then swarm will sooth your itch for more.
