I'd get both but I just got a fantastic deal off a bunch of games on steam and don't want to buy 2 iphone games atm. I'm leaning towards shift now because it has some really nice stat tracking even though I own a bunch of racing games already. I don't really care for online MP and mostly looking for an awesome SP experience. For those of you who own both which title did you find more enjoyable? I guess this could be considered a strange question because they are both different genres but I'm torn between the 2!

I really enjoyed Nova's single player, the cut scenes and gameplay are really good. I have tons of racing games as well and Nova was a no brainer.

NFS: Shift will most likely drop to $4.99 just like it's predecessor.

I would probably go with shift. I would guess that you already own NFS: Undercover and Real Racing, because Shift feels like a blend between both. NOVA is a great fps, but I'm getting a little bored with it already. I've really enjoyed the racing games that come out in the app store, NFS: Shift is really good. I'm feeling that I like the gameplay in Real Racing a little bit better, but the variety of cars, plus the ability to customize is really cool.

I would go for N.O.V.A. Why?

N.O.V.A. is unique. It's great FPS, with some weapons to choose from, wonderful locations, voice messages, dynamic lights and graphics which is above everything at present. No game can match N.O.V.A in dimension of graphic, sounds, hostiles AI (they are throwing items laying on the ground at You and hidding behind the wall edges!). Maybe You get bored, or irritated durning second level, but that's because You want to check out next one, this is obvious.

Go for it and for racing - buy Undercover and have more fun :)

Best!

Those are some seriously impressive graphics even for the iphone 3gs. Watching that video kind of makes me wish Gameloft would make a good ripoff of GOLDENEYE for the n64 :)

Yeah I have undercover (along with countless other racing games many shooters) but I'm looking for opinions on those that own both shift and nova :)

I don't think so. They could make BETTER Golden Eye than the original one!

These polls are getting worse and worse. These two games have nothing in common except that each have exceptional graphics and each are really fun. There is nothing else to compare here. I would take Nova if I feel like a FPS and NFSS if I felt like a racer.

still haven't made my decision yet  tempted to buy both but if I continue to keep buying apps, when does it stop (rhetorical question)

Both are excellent remarkable titles. Personally I enjoy playing Shift quite a bit more. Overall presentation is fantastic and just extremely fun. Nova will keep you playing if you enjoy playing death matches. Shift will keep you coming back for its content (stars, achievements, cars+customization), local multiplayer, and overall an awesomely fun experience.

Both are good, but I prefer N.O.V.A. over Shift because although there's more customization in Shift, I still think the AI in Real Racing is better, and I don't think Shift is that much better in graphics and presentation. N.O.V.A. is by itself, because there's no other game in the futuristic FPS genre that has single-player gameplay. The only thing that can come close is Modern Combat, but you didn't mention it, and N.O.V.A. is superior to it.

Thank you Craig :D Couldn't have said it better myself

If you run polls like this, the games should really be in the same genre...
