Cydia/Installer

This may seem like a completely stupid question to people who know about this kind of stuff, but...

I just jailbroke my iPhone and now I have Cydia and Installer. Do they both do the same thing? Is one better than the other? Do I need to keep both?

basically the same thing, but cydia is supported more by most devs so its best to always use that. There are way more packages in cydia than in installer.

if you want to delete installer you need to ssh onto your iphone using cyberduck (mac) or iphonebrowser (windoze) and then go to /Applications and select the entire app and press delete.
