Hook champ shopping guide?

Hi guys
By saving money, I'm downloading games I've previously paid for. It's turning out well. Anyway I recently re-downloaded hook champ (I got it when it first came out and hated it, but I barely gave it a chance) and I was wondering:

Apart from the grappling hook, rope and pick-up-stuff-near-you thing, is anything else worth getting?

The rest all seems useless to me, but I have only just completed the second level.

You'll need the rocket boots and having fast shoes and shotgun helps but are not absolutley needed

Well, the first things I always maxed out were Rope & Hook, then Rocket Boots become necessary [at least level 3 I think] and the Shotgun comes in handy too. As for the rest of what I can remember, the Loot Vacuum is nice once you have it upgraded a lot, Running Shoes are nice when you miss grappling onto something, and to this day I have no idea what the Husk Musk or whatever the name is does lol.

I bought Hookbot to support the developers... some things are very nice (recharging stuff :O), but I miss the action when playing bot because there's no ghost...

Hookbot = training, discovering new levels without any need to panic through them and always fall into the same stupid lava pit :D
"normal characters" = action, more challenging...

First time I had trouble to get enough money to upgrade. Then I discoverd "loot vacuum". :D

I have the one for gunny. You should label which hooks work for which charaters. I bought the grapling gun thinking I could use it with HB ann then relized I wasted 3000 coins cause I don't use Ginny that much.

Shotgun is necessary for survival on the Rat levels. Rocket boots are necessary for completing the Skull levels. Hats are necessary for pure Hook Champ awesomeness.

I had a hell of a time on this as well. I already purchased Hookbot and the other character through In App purchase to support the deveoloper and someone told me that Hookbot doesn't die from lava so I used him to beat it. I think you need to buy an item first to protect him from the lava though.

Once you get past it, get more experience from the even harder levels, and get better equipment you will be able to return and beat it no problem. ;)

also husk musk isn't worth it, you can never tell a difference, and anyone know which of the 3k's are the best, because I have 5k coins stacked up :p

The hooks that are 3000G are all the same from what I can tell they are just character specific. ;)
