View Full Version : Good workout / weight lifting apps?

Hi there everyone,
Just wondering if anyone knows some good (and preferably cheap/free) apps to note your progress in the gym. Something simple in my case, like a list of exercises, where you can fill in the weight you used, sets/reps for each day. And maybe see a graph after time to see how you're doing.

iFitness is the one I use. Its 1.99 and they constantly update. You can make your own routines or follow some of their suggestions. You can email workout logs to your computer and track lots of different categories. Lots of other neat stuff too - much less expensive than some of the others that seem the same but have more "fluff." There is a lite to try too (but have no clue what that contains so you might not get the same experience).
GymBuddy is another one that a lot of people like but I like this one better for whatever reason.

I've been using iPump's stuff for years now. FitnessBuilder is pretty pricey (worth it though...) but you can buy single routines from them. I used 'Total Body' for months and got great results from it. Never tried iFitness, but it's always been in active development.

I use iTrain. It is free, but offers very advanced training, workouts and videos presenting certain exercrises. I like it very much, I have there schedule and graphs presenting progresses at the gym.
Try it out and You won't regret.

If you ever go running, try the Nike+ app that comes with iPhone/touch. It gives you a choice of open ended workout, set time, set distance or caloies to burn. You then sync it with Nike website and it gives you graphs of your progress.
